My buddy has a top and 4Runner doors.... and I have a gas tank that may have come out of a 4Runner or regular cab pickup. It's out and free. Hope it will work for u.

Hey guys, I've had this for sale thread up for awhile but I'm getting serious about it. I just don't have the funds or time to get the most out of the 80. It's a source of funds I could be using to pay tuition and I feel silly having such a great off road vehicle that I never have time or funds to take on trips. It's all about priorities I guess, and right now mine are fuel economy and a few hours of family time in between studying and work. My feedback would be to keep it and buy a $1500 commuter, but that's just me.
You'd definitely regret the sale, I see TONS of old 80's diesel rabbits up there you could drive the tires off of @ 45mpg,
I'm infact thinking about taking this route as I DD my 80 now and would like to give it a rest a few days a week and have the ability to take it off the road for say bushings and not have to worry about stuffing too much maintenance into a weekend and have something else to drive come Monday if I can't get it all done.

I'm renting an old 3 bay garage I could store it in. I probably will regret selling it but it would pay off a semester of tuition.

you are aiming pretty high with the 4500 price tag on it.
If you already got a place to store it then do so and use the gas savings to pay for school, an old diesel rabbit will get at least three times the mileage cutting your gas bill by 2/3 or more.

07 through 12. The double cab has proper rear doors albeit a bit smaller. It definitely needs to have the 8 foot bed. And be silver.
There are only about six or eight of these for sale in the country right now so it is not exactly an easy find!
