Alright. We got in around like 1:45. Got unloaded and hit a couple trails around like 2:15. Got back up top around 4:10. Mike and the krewsers were here, setting up camp. Helped a little bit then went back on the trails. It's wet, but not super bad. Bottom is real close to surface.

Got a couple cools pics on the trails. :D.

Great. I don't know that we will need them but if we have them that's great. Makes life a little easier sometimes if the spotter on a harder trail has one. :D

if anyone out of Baton Rouge needs a CB, we have one to go off the cigarette lighter, no wiring required :hillbilly:

looks muddy

How's it look today? My weather report show 30% chance of rain all the way to 2am Friday morning.

Well for me? It's kinda slick. James and I rode a good bit earlier today. Had some fun comming up bill hill for lunch. I figured why I was having difficulty was I was in 2wd. I guess I had pushed the button on the dash. Dad tried being superman, and busted his knee up pretty bad. Falling down a hill After a couple X-rays nothing's broken. :D.

Had some fun playing up around the hills by the power line. Got hung up and couple times but got ourselves back out.

Matt and I went right after dark taking mountain side down
For Me with the 31's rock crawling tires the big hill is too deeply rutted. I can't make it over one section. Matt came back down to accompany me up another way. So Matt and I had to take mountain side back up. I had to jeep it for a ways. I was over 3.5K for a good bit in 3rd gear.

Darel, lance, mike and a couple others got to use the winch a couple times today, they can talk more about that. They all are eating jambalaya at the moment, or they were when I was leaving.

A couple were Heading out for some night wheeling when I left.

I believe breakfast starts at 8AM.

Yes and no. Nothing super thick, but it's a good bit away from the camp, and super muddy and slick. Abunch of the other tent campers are scattered around the rv area. You can just pinch a tent there.

Well,Today I actually saw dust on the trails. Out of the three trips LLK has had out here, this is the only day the sun has shown, and I actually was dusty at the end of the day. :D:D

This morning we had an awesome Winching Session put on by Shawn with Pandora offroad, with equipment donated by Hodges. It was a pretty cool class, and I learned a couple things. I think everybody could have benifited from it.

Abouit 12 of us, ranging from awesome built 40's, to mildly build 62's, to built 80's, to built FJC's, to almost stock FJC's, to 4Runner's, to some lady in a Lexus, :D:D, and to built 100's. We did a couple trails, with a couple people getting some nice spotting work, using the techniques learned from Shawn. We had a couple vehicles with damage, one being something near and dear to my heart, something I spent many hours on with a Body hammer Massaging on to get back into original shape, Now i need to spend ALOT more time reworking it, I'm about a 1/4" from having a new rear quarter glass in... I was doing fine, then I think a rock shifted thowing me into a tree. The other indury was a FJC that had the same happen, rock wise, but it only just caught the corner of those rear lights, that Toyota decided needed to stick like 4" past the fenders... sorry about that...

The more built rigs decieded to follow mike, into the abbis, somewhere..

I led a group of 8 rigs around the main access trails of the park, and we had a couple times where we needed a tug with the straps, but nothing to bad, they were a bit deeper rutted, than the yesterday... All in all, nodamage done, only had to turn around once, and everybody got to hang out under the hang over, and climb some trees. Got a couple couples pics, and had a good time... I personally thank everybody who was brave enough to follow me, and hope yall enjoyed the little 6 hour run as much as I did. :D:D
Hopefully somebody will post one of the group shots from around the Pole barn, I didn't get one....

A couple of us then went run Abbies trail and Cane creak backwords compared to the morning/noon run, much better this way. :D It was majorly down hill.... I tried a couple rock ledges, but I guess I just can't clime a 3' ledge in the 62, I gave it a valient attempt... Then later down the trail, a FJC and Hundy tried climbing some good hills, but just couldn't get past one point, so I said I'd try, not expecting to do any better. So I get past where they got stuck, because I had a different wheelbase, but further up, just couldn't get a bit on one rock,... So then next thing I know James comes up, and beats my mark, and get him self into a slight situation, but nothing that a quick winch from uptop coudln't fix, we really all thought he was gonna have it, but it ended up grabbing on his driver side, and sliding him over to where he was 3wheeling... His front passenger was about 5-6" off the ground. THe pictures don't do it justice, because they were taken on a pretty good slope to beginne with. We again used some of Shawn's tips and got him out safely... :D:D:D

I heard that somebody broke a Ujoint, so I guess they are winning as of right now, but I believe I'm in a close 2nd...

I got to meet up with a bunch of people, and kind of put a face with the name/username... :D

I think everybody had a great time, I saw smiles all day long, I personally think even though it was muddy, that every wheeler, and wheelette had a blast...
It's a good thing Mr. Mark (the owner of Hawk Pride) doesn't charge by the pound for dirt taken away from the park...

All I can say it yall need to start buying raffle tickets, but give them to me... :D

I got a couple people to get on the flex ramp, and I was impressed.
:D

Carnage so far... 2 batteries, u joint, tail light, quarter panel, broken frame, starter, one pack of rock lights.

Alright. I'd say that over all the Louisiana Land Krewsers Mardi Krawl 2013 at Hawk Pride Orv park was a great success. Everybody I believe , as of the end of the dinner was able to drive their rig home. Granted I don't know if they are wheeling tonight, but I think every body had a great time on the trails. I know personally this was my favorite trip so far to HP. Yeah it rained like crazy the first days, but I still wheeled, I can say we all wheeled two different parks this weekend. HP when wet, and HP dry. It's awesome how quick it dries.
We had an amazing raffle with SWEET prizes. I want to thank every sponsor for what they donated, because with out them, there would be no raffle. Personally I wanna thank Shawn with Pandora Adventures. He is an awesome guy. :)

I wanna thank everybody who showed up today, or anytime this event. I personally meet a bunch of people, and hope to see them all and MORE for LLK MARDI KRAWL 2014 ....... :D

I'm Gonna keep this short because I'm tired...
