If that bumper could talk...

I don't think you had nearly enough ratchet straps holding that thing inside a pick-up bed. :flipoff2:

Nice bumpa, I really like that TJM.

had to play it safe. more importantly, I test drove a jeep today, after that, I came to realize that the 100 series is really comfortable :D

Rustoleum textured paint works pretty good and blends well for touch-ups.

I'm going to buy the paint tomorrow after I spray it with primer. Do you suggest clearcoat over any black paint that I use?

I wouldn't use a clear coat as touch up will be easier without it. You are going to take that LC off road right? ;p To each their own but a sheen somewhere between flat and glossy looks nice. Some companies call it "satin" some call it "eggshell", etc. Semi-gloss might be too shiny for my tastes. Fortunately the paint is relatively affordable so you could test spray a spot on the bumper to find out what sheen you like.

haha yea I'll probably take it offroad. I think I'll go with matte black so its not too flashy :D

Rustoleum brand Semi-Gloss almost matches the TJM powdercoat perfectly. It is getting harder to find though.

Thought I would share some pictures while I wait for the paint to dry

took of all the plastic trims

I should have bought that spray can handle months ago. It makes rattle can painting a lot easier. decided to go with the matte black finish :D

hopefully I can finish painting so I can get it installed by tonight, depends on the weather:censor:

Looks like I won't be putting the bumper on today cos of the weather:censor::censor::censor::censor::censor: atleast I'm done painting it. I kinda like how the matte black turned out!

Anybody have an estimate on how long install will take?

Got any leftover flat black from the bumper? Paint the side trim while you are at it! :D

I'm sure you can get that bumper on in a couple hours taking your time.

just dont paint it orange, or blue or some ridiculous color.

Loud, you wouldn't happen to have those recovery brackets still for sale, right? I was browsing earlier and I saw that you were trying to sell em?

ahah I was actually sanding the trims earlier. I was going to tape it up, prime, then paint them but I decided to put it off yet again. I'm gonna do it though cos I bought more paint and primer than I needed

I went to the store earlier and got these d-shackles! Might not seem like a big step but I thought it deserved a progress pic :D They fit perfectly in the custom recovery points
