skidoo- we all have our red accents :grinpimp:

Saw this in another forum, think truck is south of the border.
See they are into red accents also, here I thought it was just you.

At first I thought it was hideous, then I noticed the perfectly accented mirrors and it all pulls together perfectly into a thing of beauty! :hmm:

5000k HID kit with relay harness for insurance purposes. Glad I listened to the members on these forums when they said that 5k was bright white:)

So I got the 6k HID's swapped out for 5k...HID is a must do for any car/truck IMO. I am thinking of swapping out the bulbs in the foglamps since they are way too yellow and dull in intensity. DDM tuning: You get what you pay for! High quality and good customer service as well as fast shipping.

Mounted the ballast in a wierd location but it works. Is it safe to run HID's in both the fogs and headlights? Im afraid I might short something out.

Light looks good, but I would be afraid the ballast will slide out the zipties on some washboard.

there is a metal bracket that holds it secure, zip ties are just there to reduce the chances that it will slide out in the vertical direction(so now it is secured vertically and horizontally), not sure if that made sense. Keeping it secure was what occupied half the time for the install lol

I think I need to contact DDM, sometimes one of the bulbs doesnt want to fire up

Just trying to update my build thread.

Black LX wheels:
https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/467371-another-black-wheel-thread.html

Waiting for my roof rack to come back from the powdercoaters! Havent had the time to do a writeup on the build of my roof rack but I will one of these days. I stripped one of those torx screws on the oem roof rack(advice on getting it out?)...so that middle mount is still there:bang:. I kinda like the no roof rack look, looks kinda clean. But I am happy that I can weld now:flipoff2: You can see my reflection in one of the pics lol My new found welding skills will allow me to build sliders;) Then hopefully a rear bumper is in the works

1st and 2nd pic show the ARB mounting feet that I bought off of a mud member($80)...total cost to make my roof rack was about $285

also, I park in the grass so I dont have to walk in the rain before going to school...

3rd pic I thought was cool because of the Tacomas blacked out projectors

Skipped out on the PC! I couldn't afford the cheap fee of $145 for all four wheels because of my self-fabbed roof rack build;)

Hopefully I can show you the new roof rack and wheels when you pick up the FRB;)

I am not selling white LED kits(the white dome lights are only for pics) I am only selling the all red setup as I always get requests for it and it has not been addressed yet and does not seem like it will be addressed!

Added some things...the setup in my truck will look like this, I can get pure white, cool white and red. I can guarantee that the dome lights and map panels(not bulbs) will come in the same color matched set because they will come from the same manufacturer, they even have the same adapter ends;) Guaranteed! The only thing varying in color is the door lights(lack of availability in color tone, but working on it) but anything up top will match 100% guarantee!

In my truck, I am using map bulbs cos the panels were too bright! Also, I am doing three dome lights in the middle row! 24SMD 5050 LED...these are brighter than the regular LEDs I had (48 LED panel). The LED bulbs I am using are 5SMD red LEDs

Btw, I can do a full RED setup:eek:

Pics of the components!

"officer, someone stole my fog light covers, I was just driving to the police station now to make a report".

Just reading through this build thread and this post made me LOL.

The front bumper looks nice.

Have you had any hard tugs from the recovery points on top of the bumper? It would seem like that would put a LOT of rotational torque onto the mounting points rather than if you had the recovery points in-line with the mounting bolts.

This is probably a good question for Spressomon (the previous owner of the bumper).

Thoroughly tested. Yeah it would be much better, structurally, to have them attached to the front of the frame rails ala Snook's mod to his ARB...but then again they've proven themselves more than once.
