If you still need the lugnut I've got those, and also you can still get the rectangular mirror head from toyota for around $30.... I can get you the part number if you'd like.

also those dual turn signals will be ready when you are :grinpimp:

pn on the mirror would be awesome..thank you. cdan and my local dealer are getting a lot of my money. oem worked well for 51 years...best to keep using it.

You can use any sending switch with a screw terminal and 1/8" NPT, I used an old new no-name one. Just need the NPT to BPT adapter or retap the hole to NPT.

Do you still need one lug nut? I'm sure I have one of those around.

Curious who making your soft top? What are they using as a pattern?

What drawing are you talking about? The FSM doesn't really have any good pictures. I think the parts manual was a little better. Measurements and pictures aren't hard to get.

yup still need one.

jim (ocd) is making the top.

mark a, years ago had a 25 soft door frame that he sold to someone out of country, but before it left, he traced it out on butchers paper and measured everything. kind of hard to read some of the stuff. think i got it all figured out, but not totally sure on a few things. if i end up buying a bender and making bows (vs. finding something that will work), then i may ponder the idea of getting some 1/4 square stock and making regular door frames. right now, i'm looking at rod for the frames (like a bestop softdoor).

OCD:hhmm::confused: Thought he made a couple of regular FJ40 tops for Sean since he said he couldn't make a good top with the info he had from his first one. I would make sure I got extra material for door skins. Years ago Kayline included material for the door with the purchase. You would need more than what they provided since the early FJ40 and FJ25 had doors that were covered top to bottom.

Before I would use rod to make the door frame I would use a late soft door and do away with the fixed vent wind. Move the window channel foward. Hardest part is dealing with the bottom radius.

problem is i sold my last set of oem soft doors years ago and they are very expensive. kind of why i'm thinking of getting a bender, it will do square stock and i already have ideas in my head.....

Not sure you remember this thread? https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/325571-15-parts.html I was going to mail the lug nut today but I'll dig the three hinges out and mail them back. I will also check to see how many the clips I have for the bows. Guessing I have a few spares.

The price of soft doors has gone up over the years. but I would still start with those but I'm a hoarder of all things soft top. The set of early bows I bought last year included a set of early soft door that a PO had cut down to half doors.:bang:
