Well the clutch pedal was not so bad to get together. I just used the parts break down diagram and started trial and error. Got her done in a leisurely 45min in the living room ;)

Good day today, had a ton of small projects to get done and got most of them completed.

Started my taking my crank bumper and modifying it to create the 3 pulses per Rev the tack is looking for. The stock Cummins just has two notches at 12 and 6. So welded up 6 and made two more one at 4 and one at 8 giving me 3 evienly spaced notches.

Painted and on the engine. Ended up using the rest of my Gray paint I painted the Isuzu with to add some contrast. Worked good and this way when I cracked my hood I get a constant reminder of the journey to get here.

Next I installed the southbend clutch on and got it ready to stab the transmission in. Also in the lower part of this pic you can see my cleaned up and ready for reinstalation frame engine mounts.

Transmission got more Cummins titanium black love the way this Cummins paint lays down. I also got the shifter stub (chevy) set in place but not bolted in yet.

Then it was onto the updated adapter plate. I went to install the new Toyota seal and procided to destroy it on the way in. Very tight seal face in this new adapter and the fact I did not have any oil likely lead to the mess up. I have another seal but ran out of time to get her in.

Nice progress. Did you go with a standard size clutch or a 13"

I am jeleous of your updated adapter, I still haven't received mine and am playing the typical Dustin screw around game. I am officially sitting on my hands waiting :bang:

Looks awesome Jeremy. What was bolted to the block to the right of your water neck? You have 4 bolts there which I have never seen anything used there. Even when I go to the Cummins dealer there is nothing mounted there on the three newer engines they have on the showroom floor.

Nothing as far as I can tell, it was a handy spot to store bolts so I didn't lose them.

That sucks!

I went with the southbend 12" replacement. I'm not planing on tuning this engine up much and this clutch is rated to 350hp 700ft/lbs.

I just could not stomach $1k on a bigger clutch I was not going to utilize.

Well see if that was a good thing to do or not.

Yeah it does, I waited a year to collect all my parts before tearing the truck apart so that I wouldnt be playing the waiting game that everyone else had had to deal with. I didn't anticipate needing version 2 of the adapter plate, and my truck was already dismantled when we figured it out. If I lived on OR I would be camped out on his front lawn.

When I was buying my clutch I debated the same thing, but since I went a little deeper into the performance mods, and presumably around the 400hp mark, I went with the big 13"clutch and larger input shaft. I plan to never add up what I have into this swap.

Not bad at all. I'm sure living up north didn't help on some of those prices.

Yes, it's been especially bad this last 6 months. Our dollar was almost par or par for years. This last 6 months it's been as bad as $1cnd = .65c USD. It's honestly made this project far more costly than it would have been a year ago.

Hence the reason I have set a firm budget and been sticking too it. It's also why I have done this in USD so most have an idea of the real world cost not the cost with our Canadian paso......

Transmission attached to engine now! I was also able to get a new seal installed damage free in the adapter. I need to get some linger bolts for the adapter to transmission side. The current ones only go about 1/2 the way through. Not a big deal but better safe than sorry.

I also got the valves adjusted and all set up. I ordered another set of valve gaskets since I seemed to have lost my last ones. I also started working on the coolant inlet pipe and flange. Need to finish that and get the tensioner braket made as well. Hope to get on that tomorrow night.

Wife and son are out of town for a couple days so shop time!

Ordered all my intake and intercooler couplers from intakehoses.com

Here is the list with part numbers and descriptions for thoes wanting to follow sute.

My intake filter setup will be the same as MrCimarron. His filter housing is a Donaldson G090245 I'm not sure what the difference is between it (it is the same size) and the G090250 other than the later flows more CFM by about 80cfm. I need to call Donaldson and see if there is anything that will prevent it from fitting.

My reason for going with the Donaldson is I would rather have a cyclonic filter setup that is a bit more restrictive than one that flows lots but does not filter as well.
