So what have you got for seating in your FJ40? I can't find a real good source for ideas on the forum...so lets see what you have.

Electric adjustable leather seats from a Dodge Intrepid R/T.

I removed the bottom rails from my old ratted out stock seats. I removed the inside edges off the "C" channel so I could weld to the new seat rails. Fits in the stock mounting position. Two job due to a bit of fabrication/welding/wiring.

Even though it is in the FAQ's getting a fresh look from all the new users is good. The dodge seats look real nice, did you have a title wheel with those also.

Here are 2 pics from my seats. The seats came with the BJ when I bought it. I think they are from a mini bus or a van. My mechanic made a whole new frame from scratch. I'll upload 2 more pics later.

Re-covered stock 69 seats with my homebrew tall guy mod done to the drivers seat...LOTS more room and will still slide forwards using stock sliders.

At 6'6", it can get kinda cramp on longer trips

Im 6'4" and I HAD to do something! Super easy and 6 holes and a lil bit of filing/dremel work and your done.

Got mine from kragen for 200 bucks for BOTH. They were a display, sitting up on a top shelf for years. Ive gotten to know those guyz pretty well over the years and they hooked me up.

Built my own brackets and seat cradle.

How many people put in custom seats and managed to keep their toolboxes? I don't see many toolboxes in the photos, except for stock(ish) type seats.
