IMG_1211 by Adam Tolman, on FlickrI didn't paint my entire 80 but I did repaint the hood to fix the badly peeling clearcoat. I used some custom mixed factory paint in rattle cans followed by a 2-part clearcoat. Also rattle canned the black center section.

Rattle canned my son's '85 minitruck. Used some off the shelf Rustoleum that was the color he wanted and followed it up with some Rustoleum clear coat.

Yes they have Clear in spray cans. But the two part clear I used on my 80 was from an autobody supply and it was definitely higher quality.Does rustoleum make a clear in spray cans? Or rather what did you use to add the clear on these? Thanks
That really turned out great!
Pretty sure he’s long gone, but I considered buying that truck in like 2012. From what I remember, it wasn’t really finished and it stuck out the back like a tail. LolNice Bob job where do you put the gas in ?
The paint on your hood looks great Adam. In your post you mentioned factory paint in rattle cans. i am getting ready to paint my hood and would love to do it the same way you did. can you tell me where you got the prattle cans?I didn't paint my entire 80 but I did repaint the hood to fix the badly peeling clearcoat. I got the factory paint at a local auto paint supply store. I gave them the color code and they mixed it and put it into aerosol cans for me.The paint on your hood looks great Adam. Did you rattle can the whole pig?Tower Paint, automotive paint in large spray cans. The original paint codes. I don't have any pics from when it was shiny and just done but this is 4.5 years later.
