What are those window coverings?
The ones I have are from Australia, Solarscreen. If I were to buy again, I would probably go with WeatherTech. For my Jetta, I have the WeatherTech shades and prefer those.

The Solarscreen were about twice the price, have annoying suction cups that is a neat idea but in general, suction cups always fall off and leave spots on your windows. You also then get a little light coming through the grommets. The Solarscreens are built well but for the money and the ease of the WeatherTechs that tuck into your window frame, that’s what I would look at.

SW Colorado before they get too much snow.

Side note.. the 30s shutter night mode on the newer iphones is really impressive..

Edit: this was with a near full moon, so the background will be a whole lot more dark without.

ARB front and rear bumpers? Did you have the bill bar part of the front bumper removed? Looks reallly good? Is there mounting for a winch as well?

The rear is a victory 4x4 bumper. The front is the ARB bumper without the bull bars. You can purchase them both ways, with or without the bull bar. The winch mounts to the front of the bumper. The winch has to be rotated 90 degrees with the attachment at the front and clocked accordingly.

That REI Kingdom tent really brings back memories. My wife and I took that on our honeymoon for a couple weeks in Utah almost a decade ago. It was a massive splurge and upgrade from my 2 man TNF hiking tent. It was the two of us in a Subaru Baja with 200k miles that took prayer to get us home. Man has our set up changed!

That Kingdom is definitely a splurge. My go to is a REI Taj 3 but when I want to church is up, the Kingdom 6 comes out. My general rule for the Kingdom is that it will only come out if there is a minimum of two nights, too big to set up for just one lol. Bought a Big Agnes Spicer Peak 4 at this years anniversary sale and have been trying that lately as a middle ground between the 3 and 6 man tent.

Here is the Big Agnes at Green Mountain National Forest. Believe this is @Catskills turf and @NYC570 probably isn’t too far away either.

We hit up one of our regular spots in the Southern Nantahala NF for a few nights, the leaves are just beginning to turn.

Turns out it was a much needed trip out for the family, we haven’t camped since a 3 week trip in July/August. I learned that my 6 yr old and I have something in common… we tend to get moody when trapped in the civilized world for more than a few weeks.

Also, I deployed a few mouse traps… one kill, one bait stolen, 2 tripped. We’re having more uninvited visitors than I had previously imagined.

We made it out again this weekend, we caught the eclipse and saw a bear. We did have to camp at an established site but we survived.
