I wouldn't buy that to help him. You can' fix stupid. Oh it reads like a scam too.
I saw this on face book the other day. I sorta feel for the guy but at the same time, if given an out why not take it? There are plenty of times during the day I would like to just pack up the 4Runner and go, but you have to have some sort of plan.
Saw an off-road equipped Jeep in it's natural habitat @ Rutter's in Newberrytown.

Last club run he was threatening to camo wrap his 80...I guess he pulled the trigger
I guess I missed that. I hope he fixed the battery hold down first.

Done .... Have the part to fix the cable as well. Hopefully that and new window belt runs tomorrow.
Bumper, winch and sliders ordered, skid plates will be available mid January. Air system and recovery gear to follow shortly after that.

Just got a call from the wife that she slid off the road in her Volvo XC90 going down a steep hill that's easily 1/4 mile + long. Coached her up on using the Winter mode and she drove out of it with no damage. Tried to explain no brakes down a hill in slick conditions.
Me: Just don't hit the brakes and let it go down the hill under idle. If the back end starts moving, hit the gas.
Wife: That doesn't feel safe. Besides when I hit the brakes the traction control comes on.
Me: That happens with wheelspin.
Wife: It makes that shuddering sound.
Me: You mean the anti-lock brakes?
Wife: Oh, yeah ... that thing, that comes on.
No damage to the vehicle thankfully.
