With the TJM bumper it has led blinkers and now they blink furiously. Bought a led flasher relay on line and the said direct fit but it is only a three pronge and the one under the dash had quite a few more. Am I looking at the wrong relay or is there a certain kind I can find to fit factory plug.

Does your flasher relay look like this one? OEM on left.

Here is a short video on replacing the blinker under the dash.

I did this last night. Used the SUPERBRIGHTLEDS to retrofit my '05 LX. Works beautifully and no hyperflashing thanks to the LED blinker replacement under the dash. "Light out" warning on dash is still on though due to some lights not being CAN BUS.

Let me tell you though, that blinker switch is INDEED a bitch to swap out. Took me the better part of 2 hours just to get that "pesky" screw out. Took part of the dash under the steering wheel apart and the horizontal A/C tubing just so I could get a look at the screw and squeeze my hand up in there.

Getting that relay out is tough, esp. if you have big hands. Or are clumsy. Or both, like me.
So, no solution to the yellow "light out" indicator I have after swapping out for a bunch of LEDs?
Besides putting a piece of tape over it.

Does this also work for a 2002 LX470?

I bought some resistors that clamp onto the wires, but have not yet installed them in anticipation of putting some Whelens in. I'm not crazy about the idea of introducing yet another point of corrosion. Relays are probably a better idea.

The resistors work fine, but they get super hot. I had them installed in my 80 and took them out and put in a relay bc it made me nervous.

I think I found the relay.
Now to figure out how to get it out of there. It looks that you you can pull it out?
It is a big relay.

It looks like there is no replacement for this relay when you swapped the indicators to led.

I swapped all my indicators to LED and purchased the relay below off Amazon. It corrected the issue and all lights work properly

8-Pin 81980-50030 066500-4650 Electronic LED Flasher Assy Relay Fix For Lexus Scion or Toyota LED Turn Signal Light Bulbs

The part number on mine is 81980-60040 and not 50030.
Not sure if they are interchangeable.

From memory there was a drawing on IH8MUD with the pin-out of the relay, but I can't find it anymore. Someone has it?

Anyone knows if you can swap 81890-50030 for 81980-60040?

I just did this the “easy way” in 5 minutes. Moved the seat all the way back. I tucked under there and on the brake pedal side was the relay, green in color. I didn’t bother with the tearing everything apart method, rather, unplugged the green one and swapped in the 81980-60040 and my dissent bullet lights are now normal :)

First and foremost, thank you soreneagle for posting that Youtube video. It taught me the location of the OEM relay and the replacement part for LED lights. That being said, I decided to go into a little more detail for everybody.

PS: This job is a pita if you are really tall, so I took the easy way out by skipping the 10mm lag screw removal:

First, I used my finger to pray away both of the side clips of the OEM relay.

Next, I used a flat head screwdriver to snap off one side of the OEM relay's bracket sleeve.

This was enough for me to pry off the oem relay from the metal bracket using the flat head screwdriver. Here's where the metal bracket is located.

After the OEM relay detached from the bracket, I still needed to pull it down to remove it from the harness. There is a giant pigtail of wires that need to be carefully pushed aside.

While pushing the pigtail aside with one hand, use your other to squeeze the OEM relay past the pigtail.

This is what the OEM relay from my 2002 LX470 looks like.

I'm trying this on my 99, since I installed an Ironman front bumper and it came with LED turn signal.....this is more trouble than it's worth. My stupid
fat hands cant even get to the relay. Is it any easier by removing the front panel/horizontal air vent box as was stated above? I don't care about removing the relay,
I just want it un plugged so I can plug in the new one.

Dang it was indeed a more difficult project than expected, but was doable with some strange combo of tools. I have big fingers that made it a struggle too, I'll take a looksee manana and try to reconstruct what I did. I do remember having to fully push back the seat just to dive in under the dash.

Btw, I ended up with the yellow burnt bulb indicator light permanently reminding me of my change to leds....hate to admit, but I ended up putting a piece of black electrical tape over to hide. Worth it still, when I back up at night the leds light up everything.
