Cool shot of a mess of land cruisers at mi casa

Pulled the roofrack and the awning off the 100 today. The factory rack was looking shabby, a new one is in work out of 1.25” DOM tubing that will sit on Gamiviti feet.

One of the horizontal members on the arb awning buckled during the HIH8 raffle, oops...so hopfully I can replace just that part.

Here’s the new, dog approved, FZJ80 picking up some bagels on saturday before working on @CruiseLanderAZ rig

So... I came across the JDM altimeters for the 80 series... and they are SWEET but expensive... it gave me an idea, can you guess what it is?

Step1: got this display to display stuff. These are random variables and shapes from a tutorial I followed...

Step2: make this pressure, temp, and accelerometer sensors measure, do math, and spit out some useful data

Step3: find a place to put it.... more to come...planning on 3D printing a mounting solution for the useless pocket near the sunroof controls. I need @CruiseLanderAZ to help me figure this stuff out.

Roll and pitch numbers
Temperature
Altitude

First attempt at a printed part to put it all in, rev 2 is on the printer now and has two screen slots angled down at 40 degrees and has a slot for two contoura switches. The first go was a bit too small, you can see the big 3/8" gaps on the bottom and right side.

Here is what is printing:

That was up on Ophir right?? Thanks for the pic :)

It was the first stretch down Imogene waiting for everyone to finish pictures at the elevation sign.

New shoes:
1.25” spidertrax wheel spacers (thanks @smug01 )
18” 2016 200 series LC rims
275/70/r18 Wrangler Duratracs (thanks @WingNutLG )

Tiny bit of rubbing on the olastic covering the pinchweld, just need to trim and bend. Otherwise they are great

Better pics soon

Any mechanical keyboard enthusiasts among us? Me and @CruiseLanderAZ made some progress on the headliner display this weekend.
One switch will calibrate, the other will cycle pages on the display. The switches are some spare MX Cherry Brown's I had laying around

So the over head switch console has been on hold. Some soldering nightmares got the best of me and I've put it down for the time being (or until @CruiseLanderAZ wants to have a go at the soldering)

This weekend we went up to Sedona and played around on Broken Arrow, if you are the area I HIGHLY recommend, that was a blast.

This feature, I got a little too far driver, and the sliders saved me big time (big shout out to @MT4x4 )

Here is camp at the End of the World up near Flagstaff. Unfortunately this spot is now public knowledge and it got crowded (read *we had loud neighbors that never went to sleep*)

Looks like a blast man. I was out last weekend for the game but no cruiser. I need to get up to that area. I bet the temps were nice.

it was great, Sedona was a bit warm in the afternoon but flag was perfect. Nice shady spot and campus on a grassy hill... can't beat it. Next time you are out, give me a shout. I am pretty close to ASU

Happy that the sliders did their job and kept your Land Cruiser protected! Great photos!
