I call shotgun this weekend! :flipoff2:

Good thing I finshed the passenger's floor then huh? Otherwise, one slip, and your foot is hamburger thanks to the front driveshaft...

Wish you would come out to Tellico for OTMT in two weeks.

I didn't even realize there was a trip! We are going to Harlan on the 10th, since my wife (quite possibly the coolest chick ever) moved our anniversary weekend getaway to the 18th...

Fixed it for you :D

I feel the love.... bitch. At Greyrock, when you make it up something I can't, I'm just gonna hook the winch to ya and pull your little ass back down the hill. :flipoff2: Hell, I wheel with Cruisers on Toyota axles that weight more than this thing does (should be under 4500)

Funny thing is, despite the title, it's not very low right now. I TOTALLY overshot on the spring rate, basing the weights off the old build. going from:

130/450 front and 110/350 rear, I'm going to try 110/150 front and 80/130 rear.. That's how far this sucker needs to come down!! It's sitting around 27" under the belly right now with the tires aired up.

If she help bleeding you brakes and move the aniversay I have no doubt ..

And you plans are keep down to 24" or so . ?

That would have just made things intresting!

Yeah, which would be 25" with the tires the way they are right now.. But I also want to crank in 1-2" of preload, which means the springs need to actually sit 3-4" lower than than it is now...

springs shipped yesterday. USPS lady said two days?...... I dont know if it will be there that fast but its priority none the less.

Thanks Erik.. My springs from Summit will be here Firday too. Guess I know what I'll be doing Friday night!!

It'll sure be easier to adjust the dual rate stop rings with bottom coils that actually compress more than 1" at ride height.. :) (My issue now is that the stop rings are to the point of affecting how effective the tender coil can be)

Spring swapping.... I was running:

Front:
130-12"
450-14"
Rear:
110-12"
350-14"

It came out too tall, too stiff, and the preload collars were at their minimum setting. With the help of Erik D_Lux (THANKS Erik!), we ran some numbers and he suggested this, which is what I swapped to:

Front:
110-12"
150-14"
Rear:
80-12"
130-14"

In an attempt to get the rig back down to my target height/uptravel.. Not to mention the spring rate was waaay too high. Anyway, the goal was 24" under the belly at trail pressure (7front / 6rear) with 5" uptravel F&R.

Well, I didn't get that.. I knew it was going to be difficult, especially for a first attempt.

I've got a little over 6" uptravel at 24" belly height!! :bounce::bounce2: I'm expecting the springs to settle in some, as 6/8 of them are new. But still.. I'm MORE than pleased.

Hmmm.......I heard no rev limiters......

In that one minute clip out of 2 9-hour days of wheeling, you're right. :flipoff2:

Tapage.. that's not very off-camber - does that tell you how stable it is? :D

Fixed the steering issue I had.. I couldn't spin the wheel very fast at any speed.. maybe .75-1 rev/second. I drilled out the fitting in the pump a few sizes up, and at idle, I can now do about 1.5 rev/sec.. at 2000rpm, I can spin it as fast as I want. The rear is much faster as well. Good stuff!

My short list:
Replace 3 knuckle boots, and make guards for them.
Re-valve rear shocks (too stiff)
install crotch straps on the harnesses
Grab bar for the passenger
