No kidding..

In this case anyone with skills enough to install the "kit" would have enough skills to not need a kit.

Got inspiration, but I do not have Jodo skillz. I am really going to mess my LC up now! All joking aside Jodo this is some of the great mod work thanks for posting!

I'm waiting now for the rear coilover conversion...

Thanks guys for all your incouragement. As far as "Kit Form" goes, well, lets just say it would be nice to have a few more choices out there.

Flank,

Rear Coilovers... No telling what will do.

And here's the front axel asembly ready to install. The wheel spacers are 1 1/2". The brake rotors and pads I bought on line. All four rotors and pads delivered were around $325. I even got to choose the hole and slot pattern and color (silver, gold or black). Brake lines I also picked up on line custom made to the vehical in vinal lined SS in more colors than you can imagine. All 7 lines with three extra long dilivered, $180.

Speechless still. Amazing piece of art and work

The cross member was a different matter. I had all kinds of ideas but I wanted it to help support the front radious arm brakets, be removable and be able to add on additional skid plates as I see fit. I have to take pics of the finished crossmember.

Did you improve clearance at all with your new cross member? Or did you just keep the same basic design of the OEM cross member?

I kept the same tranny height but the crossmember is a single piece of 3/8" x 7" flat bar. It is thinner (not much) but alot stronger. My plan is to fit a early style tranny mount so that I can use flush bolts through the bottom.

I dont think I blinked once.

There is some great craftsmanship here!

Beautiful.

Quick question: What is the reason for the spacers up front if you are using stock axle dimensions? Is the lift and articulation such that you would rub in the inside without them? Are you compensating for tire width differential in the rear axle, or not worrying about it?

Whew...I need a cigarette after seeing all that!

Tapage,

The brake lines came from THMotor sports Adam 1-800-959-0145

All I have for the Rotors and pads is this number 1 (714) 817-0458 I can check when I get home this weekend.

Flank,

As for the spacers, I have a rule when building a project and thats purportion. As a vehical goes up it should gain a little width. So I did it for stability, looks and the fact that the wheels i bought had 4.5" of back spacing. I wanted a 17" tire and wheel and its hard to find any selection in a 17" wheel with a 3.5" B.S.
It does gain crearance to the radious arms and coilovers but didn't need an 1.5"

Flank,

For the rear, I used spacers in the rear also with no rubbing.
