Had JW Off-road install their tire carrier on the rear door. I ultimately regret this as I wish I saved the money to put towards a rear bumper (which I’m still looking for one I’d like that can take abuse).

This didn’t last long, but I bought some Ironman4x4 LED fog lights and wrapped them with yellow film. Looked cool, but the yellow was not close to the Bajas.

Do you have these wheels bead locked? Or just mounted.
If I'm not mistaken, to the letter of the law (whatever that means...) beadlocks are not street (or DOT?) legal in CA.
Albeit, they look great!
I had them bead locked. But the bolts broke and now I have them normal mounted but with a beauty ring.

Yeah, remember how I said those yellow filmed LEDs wouldn’t last long on the GX? I replaced them with Baja Designs SAE Squadrons. Had to machine some blocks and fab some brackets to attach the lights to the Ironman4x4 fog light brackets.

I think I got this cheap 270 awning from a buddy for free or super dirt cheap. Didn’t last long on the GX but I did have it on the for a short time.

Took my entire family out camping on Usal Beach. My daughter’s first time camping ever. I will say camping with a baby is tough lol 😂. My wife hated this period because she couldn’t enjoy the drinking aspect (still breast feeding at the time) but it was fun just to have all of us enjoying this together. Beach camping hits different.

Remember how I said that cheap awning wouldn’t last long? I replaced it with a good 270, an Ostrichwing 270 from Big Country 4x4.

After dealing with those portable toilet/shower tents, I decided to pull the trigger on a DFG Off-road Shower Tent after watching Independence Overland’s review of the shower tent on YouTube. It offered great value and features for the price. Loved this tent. Easily mounted using the Front Runner awning mounts for their rack.

Although YouTube can show you some cool products, you can also find ways to waste money lol 😂. I watched Revere Overland and his shower build. I ended up building something similar. Pros: hot water, hot shower, but Cons: bulky package and cost was around $600 😒. I don’t bring it on trips anymore because well, it takes up too much space. The GX is space limited, so, need to find something smaller.

I did purchase a bigger tent! The Gazelle T4 Plus Overland Edition fit our family a lot better. It was like a dang hotel 😂.

Time to test those skids! First introduction to easy rock crawling was Sour Grass. This is where I first fell in love with crawling.

Second day we finished Sour Grass trail. You can easily do it in one day but we made a weekend out of it. I f’d around and found out as I followed Jeep Lines…🤣 This is where I found out the rear bash bar is just for looks 😅. Also, the diff skid took some damage. Had to remove the bracket that attaches around the yoke.

Purchased 2 Roam 95L boxes. Ended up installing one of them and sold the other. Didn’t like the mounting solutions on the market, so made my own. A lot harder to steal this way…🙂.

This also was a thing for a bit. When I installed the Roam box, I had to remove one of the solar panels, so I had extra room for a packout box and a place to put my shower system (the Pelican box).
