On Black Friday week, I bought an ARB 101 Qt Zero Fridge (Normally this fridge is $1,743). My wife is often one of the main cooks at camp, and when we do a two day weekend trip, my 56L Snomaster CL56D is not big enough. So, here I go trying to stuff this massive fridge. This will require an entire redo of the rear cargo area. Bye bye drawers and drop down fridge slide 🥹.

To tackle fitting the new fridge, I had to either go wood or metal for the floor. Wood is great, because you can really customize it, but it’s heavy, or can be. Steel is heavy, which is why I decided to go with aluminum. American Adventure Lab has an aluminum platform for the GX460 and I’m surprised that it’s not popular yet, but that’s what I’m going with. They have a Christmas sale right now, and on top of that, I was still able to get Military discount stacked on the sale price, win/win.

Pictured Below are examples of the platform installed in a GX460 (photos taken from GXOR and AAL website)

Had a 84 qt fridge and had to get rid of it. It was just too large to open the lid inside, my wife is too short to peek inside for what she wants, and I don't have slides yet. After I sold that I got this EUHOMY Car Refrigerator, 55Liter(59qt) for only $233.99:
Amazon product ASIN B08NCZF438Although our go-to fridge is our little 21 qt Alpicool C20 which was only $197.99:
Amazon product ASIN B075R1LH8DWe've had that Alpicool for about 4 or 5 years now and use it all the time for long 1 day outings and overnighters.
We had the 84 qt for when we're doing our week long trips up at Huntington Lake with the family and we need a weeks worth of food and drink.
But it was still way too big. Haven't had a chance yet to use the Euhomy yet, but looking for to it!
Also, it was kind of funny that our neighbors (home) fridge went out and they needed a new compressor which was not local, so they've been waiting for the last couple weeks for a new compressor. In the mean time they've been using our camping fridges.
They use the larger Euhomy for a fridge and the little Alpicool as a freezer. They've had them now a couple weeks, hopefully they'll get their fridge fixed soon.
With both fridges, all-in, I'm about 1/3 the cost of your one fridge. With all due respect, yes if I could afford top shelf products all the time that's probably where I'd shop, but sometimes I gots the dough and sometimes I's gots to find the best deals.

My off-road family Town4x4 recently participated in a Toy Drive here in Northern California at the Bay Area Metal Fab. Toy Drive was held by a local group called “Hella Trails”. It was nice to bring together the community to support a good cause.

Our off-road family has been talking about getting a trail clean-up together, but have been mostly in the planning stage, because we know there’s a lot to it, and working with local agencies on getting large dump trailers and what not situated. So, if any of y’all have any experience with setting up a clean up, please reach out to me!

Replaced the factory latches on my Alucab RTT with E3Machine billet latches 😬. Oh, and removed the factory plastic handle with an E3Machine billet handle with provisions for a Baja Designs dome light.

Drained my rear diff and removed the ARB cover to replace the gasket, because it was leaking (found missing cover bolts earlier). I also took the opportunity to remove the rust from the ARB insignia and painted it black. I tried to get artsy with it to make it look like black splatter, but I ended up just looking like a kid who can’t paint in between the lines 😄.

Added an American Adventure Lab Aluminum Pack Out Tray, installed RivNuts for the KickAss Battery Tray and temporarily strapped the ARB 101Qt fridge onto the AAL Platform. Hoping to get the fridge slide done sometime down the road.

Found the culprit to why my Dual Battery stopped keeping a charge. Removed the RedArc wiring block and replaced it with 50amp Anderson Plugs.

Left on a Friday night, dealt with the icy roads of HWY 88, and got to camp safely. Enjoyed a nice dip in the hot springs.

Here’s my first official YouTube video of our trips. Hoping to do more videos like this. Was pretty fun putting the clips together. Let me know what you guys think 😊.

What was wrong with the factory latches and handle?

Is that KickAss power station basically the same as having a second battery? If I were to kick out my second battery and replace it with this, would it be essentially the same but better for my fridge, computer, phones, etc?
Do you still need a battery isolator for since it's kind of like dual batteries?

Great snow camping pic's!
