It's 2017, are there any front bumpers left for the 80?

...snip...ohh except the lower end TJM non-bull bar bumpers that look like a high school welding shop designed and put together.
That wasn't a very nice thing to say....

Only kidding... I think the TJM T17 looks fine, but it isn't a very nice bumper. The PO installed it on my truck. It's pretty "light duty", the powder coating failed around the high lift jack points, which resulted in some rust starting to form. However, I have cleaned it all up, treated it, and re-coated it in those areas...

do you need more options than about the 8-10 presented?

What are you looking for in a bumper?

This is great information, I wasn't aware of Costa or Trail-Tailor before this thread. I'm waiting to hear back from Costa later this evening, hopefully I'll be able to make a decision soon. Need to rebuild my front end first since my passenger birf started clicking recently, so that also means new upgraded brakes before a bumper, should have the oil pans sealed back up this afternoon. I was loosing about a quart every 3-4 days which was getting excessive. Just about finished with the mechanical stuff (knock on wood) so I can finally move on to some off-road upgrades. Last thing on the mechanical list is to rebuild or buy a new rear locker actuator, but first I still need to verify that it isn't the switch or relay before I order anything.

I had an ARB Bull Bar on my 07 FJC and am kind of wanting a different look for my 80, plus I would rather support a small local shop associated with MUD vs a big manufacturer when it comes to anything steel on my rig.

I'm looking for something that has a good approach angle, winch mount, light mounts, and recovery points. I want a simple, sleek, functional design that I don't have to modify to install a light or two, or have to add reinforcements to mount a 10-12k winch, etc. Right now it is looking like Costa & Trail-Tailor fit those requirements. The NWTI does too but I need to track down a shop to weld it together which takes extra effort and time vs. just ordering a complete bumper delivered to my door.

I sent you the info requested along with pics.. Thanks for your expressed interest. And thank you to those that mentioned my work in this thread! much appreciated...
Based on the description of what your looking for either Jason (Trail Tailor) or my bumper would be an excellent choice and definitely fit the bill. those recovery pockets though......;)
But seriously either one is a solid choice.. good luck with the 80.
Thanks
Rich

I wasn't a big fan of tube bumpers on the 80 until my ARB got mangled in a fender bender and I started looking for something to replace it. I ended up with the BIOR tube bumper and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Much more clearance, way stronger, better approach angles. Not to forget the craftsmanship and supporting of a small business.

they look pretty nice, and well priced. I wonder if someone has added loops for those and how they look.

Side hoops to add more protection from fuzzy things in the road? I haven't seen them added. The wings are pretty tight under the lights. Is it possible to have some tube bent and added to fit, I think so.

All I'm finding available is the Slee short bus, ARB Bull Bar or some look-a-like variant and ugly (functional only) tube bumpers. Is that it? I've never learned to weld so build your own kit bumpers like what NWTI produces won't work. Any suggestions?
I have a 4xlabs front and rear, and it gives serious approach and holds a 12K winch no prob. It does cover up your lower directionals a bit but not completely
