Is the LX450 hood the same as the FZJ80 hood?

BTW, if you love on the West side of town, you should have your roof looked at. I'm near 38th and Sheridan and nearly everyone on my block has roof damage.

I've got nothing visible, but am having someone out to take a look today.

I just had my roof done about 6 months ago with impact resistant shingles. Had it inspected yesterday, and aside from a few cosmetic dings, it held up really well. I think I may shingle the roof of the 80 with them.

Yep we had a roof contractor out yesterday. We live near Golden and our wood shake roof has lots of split shingles. It would be nice to get an asphalt shingle roof and save on the premium....

you can probably get a used hood from arcteryx = CruiserYard

Considering bolting a few sheets of 3/4 ply to the prinsu roof rack. This should offer sufficient hail protection while also providing ample space for a rooftop tent.

Also a Rooftop kitchen, rooftop workbench, rooftop toolbox, and place for a rooftop camp chair. I could effectively triple the 80's cargo area.

Paint the new hood PINK..........

Yeah, I hit up the pick and pull today. They had a black one to match mine, but it was hail dented too. I was so happy, and then so mad. I did get some cool stuff though.

Have you been to Jim's Yoda Yard up off of 69th and York? He's got racks and racks of hoods. Also a bit further north? Maybe less hail up there?

I called him. He didn't have any 80 hoods. The Yotayard did, but it had a big dent in it. I'm ordering one from Cruiseryard.

Allright, ordered one from @arcteryx. I'll let you guys know how my hail repair process goes. Thinking about just popping out the dents on the roof as best I can, removing the roof rack, and getting a heavy coat of rhino liner on it. Hopefully that will look ok and protect it in the future. Probably will get paintless dent repair on the sparse dents on the other panels. Thoughts?

I thought the pros used a series of metal rods with various tips to massage the dents out from the backside.

Hail is a blessing and a curse for me. When it hails I make a lot of money (I sell roofs, siding, and windows) but I also panic because my garage is filled with a torn apart 1FZ-FE and tranny.

Last hail storm my wife said "I just want to make sure I'm correct in thinking that our new Camry and two 80s (the third is in a storage building) are sitting outside because you are rebuilding a motor and transmission."

My response "Yeah, I know. I need to make room for the 92."

I cover mine with moving blankets when I need to. They work like a charm.
