Is anybody still interested in a center console? (12 Viewers)

Ha, silent majority? How many crisp plastic Australian dollars will pull the orientation across to the correct side?
Apologies, that was actually a bad joke (based on the number of hate emails received overnight). Still working on it for sure, just don’t know when it’ll be ready for sale. Manual is damn near ready to go, auto is going to be a little longer.

Sounds good, manual will obviously be popular but happy to wait for RHD auto.

Here in Or Straya we use South-Pacific peso's as our currency as the Australian dollar is out of fashion. lol but like bitcoin nobody actually wants to admit they exist or use them for 'real transactions'...

Seriously though, I have a standard centre console (with the dicky cupholder on the RHS) and would really like a better unit. Being a DX there is no factory bracket to mount the rear of it to so I made my own config that secures to one of the unused front bench set seatbelt mounts on the floor.

I see on the website there are a bunch of options - is it possible to have pictures of each different option config to show what they look like? Also given the factory consoles are identical between LHD and RHD with just the cup holder and an internal bracket changed between different sides, is the Delta centre console configured to set up for both LHD and RHD vehicles? I really want one (2020 present - shipping would be a *lot* to the Land of Oz, esp if I got a cargo roof storage rack too) though!

Craig.

working on getting pics, just barely getting one installed in one of our rigs (the rest get sent out the door as soon as we finish putting them together). There are a lot of pictures earlier in this thread. But yes, more are needed.

As far ambidextrous, yes, the center mounts in either driving setup. It’s only the shifter that is specific.

Been awhile since I checked out the site, didnt realize you stocked so many oem goodies. Also shifter console is alot cheaper than I thought, and that comes with the faceplate for gauges. This will for sure be on my list.

At first I wasnt sure because im more of a fan of the OEM+ look, but the quality here is hard to argue against. I would still try to keep it period correct with maybe some old toyota seat warmer switches, some VDO guages, not sure so many options!

@Delta VS what is the difference in the raw leather vs black vinyl?
The color and the material. After the first batch we have made a small change that will make them be exactly the same other than that. We were hoping they could stay very simple but have realized we need to add a hem and a small rod on each end (front and back) so they look much cleaner and flatter. Leather if you want something that will likely outlast your vehicle (it’s thick) and like the natural feel and maybe want to dye/stain/oil it or just let it age and get character, vinyl if you just want something that kind of blends in with a black console. The leather will be more of a “highlight” with any of the console colors, the black will be more a of subtle “blend in” thing with at least the black one.

Here are a few pics of the tan one installed in a brown interior 94 (so the earlier, darker brown, also please excuse the dirty interior), and close up of the above mentioned adjustment to leather cover (rod inside so the leather stays tight to lid). Bonus shot of the new BlueSea fuse panel mount with wire management runs that bolts to the rear bolt pattern (inside or outside, inside recommended).

Not sure if this has been answered. yet. Does the rear cup holders on the delta console flip up and is there enough room for the rear seats to fold? Anyone have pics please? I'm trying to decide if I'm keeping my Tuffy or also buying the Console. I'm buying the Shifter regardless but having a tough time justifying buying the Delta Console since I already have the tuffy. Looks like I would have to slightly trim the Delta shifter plate about 1/2" to 3/4" to have the Tuffy Cup holder slide in.

Does the tan color match later model 95-97?

the rear cup holder is the same as the front cup holder (so yes, it flips up). If you install in the lower of the two available spots, the 2nd row seats DO have room to fold forward.

Don’t have any good pics of this yet, all our rigs at the shop have the second row removed.

Will be ordering a shifter console in January. I guess it works with the OEM center console fridge? I want for my Absolute Wits End Turbo kit. What gauges are people installing? Brand? Type? Best vendor or place to order them? I would like an AFR, coolant Temperature, ATF temperature and the least important but fun Boost gauge.

Maybe would be good a four pot faceplate or get a dual purpose gauges. Please help I am a newb on the whole Turbo and gauges thing.

I think these might be good questions for the turbo thread where folks are more focused on that kit and it's needs.

happy to help with any questions related to the consoles though. if you end up wanting a custom faceplate, happy to make custom ones for an extra fee.

I have both cup holders. I have the rear mounted in the upper position, as I don’t need to roll my seats forward very often. I can get some pics of that for you if you want. When the cup holder is mounted in the lower position the rear seats fold forward just fine.
