Most websites are charging $90, plus shipping and tax, and you have to wait several months.

But @azngarage and I already worked out a deal, he's local and I'm going to pick up his tomorrow. Thanks though! Maybe someone else will see this thread and is looking to pick one up.

Dang, sitting on my shelf all those years and it only went up ten bucks. Bought the wrong parts to retire on I guess.

+1 for this part getting rid of the start knock. Installed this weekend and now enjoy a completely stress free start up.

Where did you get yours? Everywhere I’ve looked has been out of stock for months.
I got it on amazon I believe, but it’s been sitting on my desk for at least a year.

I currently have one on my 80 that I'd be willing to part with. I already did all the modification, chamfered the ports for better flow and everything. It is on my 1994 FZJ80 right now but has zero miles on it as the vehicle has been sitting for months. I have a Purolator PBL10241 filter on it which is the one that @Kernal recommends. It's yours for $110 + shipping (which is how much I paid for it) without the filter or $120 + shipping with the filter. Lmk if you're interested

I've got one on mine that I installed last summer. Only issue I had was I had to loosen it a little and rotate it back in order to remove the P/S pump. Make sure the o-ring is in place before you start it up. Mine had slipped just a bit and dumped about 3 quarts before I got it shut off. Pretty good sized mess!

messeged

Hmm... I wanted one of these just to facilitate less cleanup everytime I change the oil. I was using stuffing a plastic bottle in the engine bay and under the filter to catch the oil and filter.

I've always wanted one but the remote filter style....that one could bolt to an easy access location....might just be me though

I'm looking to purchase one of these 90 degree oil filter brackets (M-6880-A50 ) to hopefully cure the 2 second death rattle on cold start , I see Ford have a new one out that supersedes the A50 which is M-6880-B50 looks to be slightly different in shape , has anyone tried on a 1FZFE ?

The new version, M-6880-B50, has the correct size threads to screw onto the block but not on to the filter. Instead of the 3/4"-16 they are M22-1.5.
If you're not an only OEM filter owner, then this adapter will work. They are in stock on a few sites. I will give one a try.

That filter mount (the threaded one on the bottom) looks to be easily swapped..

Can you share where you got the adapters?
I drew one up and can send to CNC to be made if no other options are available. Won’t be the most economical direction but could keep the OEM filters in use.

sorry, bad wording - I ordered 2 of the oil filter housings, intend to look for adapters.

although if you make some, I'm in (assuming I can't find any out in the world)

EDIT - I'm guessing this is the fitting that is included with the updated housing? Mustang Oil Filter Adapter w/out Oil Cooler (11-19) AL3Z-6890-A

I ordered the discontinued M-6880-A50 from Watson Racing. $116 with shipping. Everyone else was out of stock.
