[ I've always ordered it from the website but what stores (names) did you find it in?[/quote]

A local auto parts store, Parts Plus, stocks it. I haven't actually priced it yet but i'm needing more for my wheel wells, axles, driveshafts etc, etc,:D so i'll find out if i'll save anything by buying locally.

This is coming out awesome man!
That interior looks fantastic!
Im really diggin the angle that you threw at the rear 1/4's.
I HATED doing mine! I feel your pain with the painstaking "zap....zap....zap...ZZZZZZZZZZZ.....ZAP...SH!T!":bang:
Its worth it in the end, but getting to the end sucks!

Rust Bullet's nice. But it doesn't work on smooth metal. It will flake off in big chunks if the metal's too smooth or polished. Otherwise, it's a good product.

Great job on the interior! I wish I would have done that to mine!

I've had it flake off on parts but that's because I didn't do my prep work and was lazy. Good prep will mean a good bond.

Thanks man, It's slow goin' but I keep pluggin away. I saw exiled put a slight angle on his quarters when he chopped em' and I thought it made things look a bit more "finished" so I went that route.

Thanks, I roughed the interior with 100 grit and it seems to have bonded really well. I'd have to agree with boots, prep is key to a good bond. I went so far as to vacuum, tack cloth and a good wipe down with surface prep before I laid the R.B. Overkill? maybe but I know if It dosen't bond it wasn't because of surface contaminents.:D

FINALLY got the quarters buttoned up!:bounce::bounce2::clap: What a PITA that was. All n all they turned out allright.

You are seriously earning this one!

Hard to say if MUD is a support group or an inabling group or just a clean needle exchange:popcorn:

LOL Prolly a glom of all three:D. I noticed on your sig line you run Alcans. Whats your thoughts on them. I'm still torn between OME and Alcan.

To my mind...

LOL Prolly a glom of all three:D. I noticed on your sig line you run Alcans. Whats your thoughts on them. I'm still torn between OME and Alcan.

It's a matter of how much lift you want, if 3.5 to 4 is what your looking for...The OME Heavies are the GOLD STANDARD, period. If Six or more is your bag, you should do a spring over with good stock springs. The PO put 5 inch Alcans on my rig before I bought it and they have simmered to 4.5 or 4.75 inches but they are nice and flexy. I get really good articulation on Ingrid. Only prob. with flexy is that I sheared a pinion gear on a wall by generating some axle wrap (totally user error:bang:) So I got a Proffitts antiwrap bar that I need to install.
I assume axlewrap would be an issue on SOA rigs too. Long story short, if you want a bit more lift than the OME, spend the aprox. $400 a pair to get the Alcans. If you need measurements, let me know (eye to eye - centerpin..etc.)

Thanks trapper. I'm thinkin' 4" is th max I'll go so I guess I'll stick to OME. I hope to have the 62 on the road by the time summer rolls around.

Well i got zero done on the 62 this weekend:frown:. M y best mates moving down to texas for a few months and wanted to service his 95 fzj80. Tranny flush, rodneys party trick, (It WORKS!), delo 15/40, coolant flush, grease job, gear oil, etc, etc,
oh ya, and I fabbed him up a roof rack:clap:.

Fun project. I'll post a pic of it installed when I get a chance. I use his rig as an experimental platform before I do any work on mine:D. That way if I screw anything up all it costs is labor to fix it.

WOOHOOO!! 2FE roars to life

I FINALLY got the 2fe running!! What a relief. I installed it about a year? ago. I went to start er up and nothing . Then remembered i had disconnected the fuel pump power when I did the Quarter chop , Got that hooked back up and tried starting again. She sputtered a bit wouldn't take any throttle, then died. Rechecked EVERYTHING. All looked ok. Tried again. Same thing. Recheck EVERYTHING again. No go:mad::bang:. By this time I was really doubting my mechanical abilities so I decided to back off and work on other projects. Well days turned to weeks and weeks morphed into months, And here we are. This weekend i was doing valve adjusts and timing on the 60 and my wifes 80. I was feeling very "mechanical":D and thought i'd give the 2fe another go. I decided to cross check all the underhood hoses against the wifes 80. Well wouldn't ya know it I had the fuel lines messed up:o:rolleyes:. Primed her and rechecked everything one more time. Touched the key and, viola, shes alive!!!! She's loud as all get out right now without exhaust but man does she ever roar!!

Congrats x2....I need to do something similar to my rear quarters.
