Wow...
Here is the same thing in Wyoming for the low price of $25,000.

It is Wyoming though, once here we don't care.
That one is more than 25 years old so it's legal. They were also legally imported for two years...IIRC 95 and 96??
Customs doesn't seem to notice the thousands of illegals crossing the southern border on a daily basis but they stopped that "dangerous" Land Rover.
Good work boys....
Because it has a 200tdi engine it is illegal.
Ain't that the truth. The 'boys' are just doing their jobs, it's the policy makers who need to lose theirs.
True and well said, except for that bald SOB they had for a spokesperson(Yes, I'm a bald SOB as well!).
He was taking way to much enjoyment from all this for a guy whose just "doing his job."
If I had to guess I would say Simex.Anyone know what tyres were on that?
Did I hear him right? The EPA was involved? Ya think they would've drained the fluids out of it before they started ripping it apart.
Well, while I can't feel too sorry for the importer trying to do something illegal, I can say that...I am overjoyed to hear that our borders are secure, the importation of drugs and other dangerous items have been curtailed, and illegals and terrorists have been stopped in their tracks
With all that in place, I don't see a problem with them destroying an illegally imported vehicle.
There's no wonder why I don't give a s*** about federal furloughs!
Read that one guy said his was an "83" by VIN and the goverment says it's really a ~2000. Also read that they believe the trucks are being seized as evidence against the dude that was allegedly illegally importing.
