true in every word ..

my main concern her is the shocks .. and that done by ordering the KingShocks .. you can't sattle for somthing can't handle speed of 60+ MPH in offroad condition .. second the ride hight adjustably .. simply make a coilover conversion by ordring the kingshocks with coil .. last .. travel gainig .. if iknow i could improve this i will make it ..

time .. carless .. money .. if you have a plan .. every things will go well ..

i will have a second car by this summer .. and no body will use this LC .. (there are 3 other LC100) .. so the work will began on 6/23 .. finger crossed .. :D

Ahhh, wow....60MPH. Yes, that creates some added demands. I wish your sand was nearby my house. :D

The A arm set up in the 100 can take a front shock 10mm longer, gaining aprox 20mm travel, but the ball joint tops out with any more, and this normally causes it to snap off when it does, which isnt good

and i think TOY025C equal to 864 in rate ..

I spent a little time with a great off-road fabricator this weekend looking at the front of my 100 series and in both of our opinions it would be MUCH less expensive and less invasive to go ahead and RIP out the IFS and just install a 3-link set-up with coilovers using an 80 series axle.

You are already into the mounting expense of installing the King coilovers, just get rid of the IFS while you are in there and so a radius arm 3 link using a panhard arm.

It is similar to the Super Duty coilover kit from Fabtech or the Tacoma coilover kit from All-Pro.

While you are in there you can update the rear suspension. As with a better shock and sway bar setup. There is plenty of room back there to do that right after looking at it and still keep the coils and the 100 series axle.

The sway bar and the shock mounts are really the only thing that need to be adjusted.

Now, just figure out how to mate the IFS hubs to the 80 series axle so you have matching lug patterns.........we did not pull the tire and look at how this would work, but I am sure it can happen. That or some lug adapter/spacers.

el_3grabi got to much lift in front !!! more than 3'' when i changed my T-bar i turn the scrow which is attached to t-bar so i got many inches with the Deff Drop the CV Angel its ok i just now have a problem with the Ball Link its rubber its attached to the A arm so i got different degree than the stock so what should i do i dont care for the money to order but tell me from wherei dont want to change the shocks i have LTR i really love them just need to modify IFS .

if i want a solid axle front .. i would sell my 100 and get the one with solid axle in front .. but no .. i never liked driving solid axle front in any 4x4 .. better offroad .. yes .. beside that .. i love somthing called independent suspension .. My first demand is better shocks .. and i will get there with KingShocks ..
if i can extract any more travel .. i would try that .. and see how it will work out .. any thing goes wrong .. simply reinstall the OEM UCA ..
in the sway bar issue i have a extension supplied with the BATTLEZ assist kit .. and already i have the TRD Sway Bar F+R and adjustable pan road ..

there is nothing else available or to order to for the IFS .. you got it all .. Diff Down .. T-Barz .. Shocks .. complete package ..

you can fabricat your own Upper Control Arm with a UniBall joint .. to get those little inches hidden in there ..

Don't be so quick to discount 100TD...let GRAB make that choice. He may not be aware of this mod.

I'm not discounting anything, it's just that with discussion on your arse end being in the top threads for the last 6 months, with 300+ replies and 5000+ views, I was just hoping we could leave that seperate and concentrate on the front end. ( He is aware of the above mentioned thread, he has posted in it.)

Is that a 100 series IFS? Looks like it.

Giving the IFS more travel is one thing, giving it too much for the CV and the A arms that are in there will just give you poser, unusable flex that will rip everything apart if put under stress.

Rod Millen are well known stadium racer, rally driver and pretty good engineer. That project he did for Toyota USA use chassis and drivetrain from 99 Land Cruiser and 67 45LV body. Millen family in off-road and rally world are like Rahal family in racing.

I am pretty sure he address all that from engineering aspecs. He was stadiun truck Grand National Sport Truck winner from 92-94. Check www.rodmillen.com

The upper arms are definetly custom made using tubing not like OEM stamped arms. The lower arms look stock. The shock looks like using custom bypass/remote canister type.

There was another picture of the front suspension floating around on the internet. If I remeber correctly one of the article also mention extending the arms about 2" per side which could create that 30% extra travel using stock CV just by lengtening the shaft

I remember the car they built very well, I just could not remember if they started with a 100 or a Tacoma. It was TLC that did the Tacoma/Banderante that was confusing me.

Anyway, that would be a grand place to start looking into this. If he had some stuff on CAD for this, it would save those wanting this a lot of time.

A spacer above the ball joint doesn't look like it would be bolt-on as the LC100 ball joint "appears" to be pressed in--there are no bolts.

I'm not really diggin' that picture of a spacer below the ball joint.

Emailed both Camburg and Chaos Fab... they both said the same thing. They don't have the time right now to devote R&D for custom UCA/ball joints for the 100 series. Chaos even measured a 100 series stock UCA to see if it was close to anything they already made. No such luck. :frown:

How serious are you about this?

Personally, I don't have any cash right now for this but I know a fabricator who may have time for this.
