Well it finally happend. I am so stoked. I bought a pig.

It's a 1976 with 77000 original miles on it. It was used as strictly a hunting truck for the last 10+ years. It only drove from the farm house to the field and back ( a little twist on the old "little old lady only drove it to church and back on sundays")

This thing is 100% stock. It has had no modifications done to it by man. Now by nature is a different thing. It has the typical rust in the front lower fenders, rockers, and minor in the rear sil, and the driver side body mount has rust. It needs a new 2F hood. The PO was driving down the HWY when the latch let loose and the hood fliped up and hit the roof line. So now it has a huge crease in it.

I am going to take off the asian carb and send it out to be rebuilt and tuned to the high altitued here in CO. I need to fix a leak in the rear diff cover, change all the fluds, spark plugs. It needs new tires, but it has the orginal rims and hub caps. Needs a new windshield, and the back window doesnt work right now. The head linner is ripped out and seats are cracked.

Now for the good stuff. It is still completly smogged so I dont have to hunt for all that crap to get emissions done. It still has all the chrome peices. Like around the drip rail on the roof, on the inside of the doors holding the near mint mat down. It still has the original radio and tool kit. Bag, wrenches, tools, and bottle jack with the crank. It also came with 2 sets of original TEQ keys (very cool). Like I said before there are only 77000 miles on it. And the kicker.......I only paid $1100 for it. :grinpimp:

Okay so I need some help.

Does anyone have a:
2F hood
windshield
Window crank
the screw on door lock nub thingie
that they can let go of?

What tire size should I run under this piggie?
Stock rims and no lift. 31s?

Thanks,

Well its about time ! LOL. Glad to have another pig hearder(knight) on board. Check with tfdcruiser in the 55 classified section, i think he has a hood, and some of the other parts your looking for. Good luck, Mike

James at Cruiserparts has windshields, new and used.

Nice buy.

Rub that red paint out. It'll come back nicely.

33 X 9.50's BGF AT would be my choice of tire... pretty sure you can run them without a lift or much of one...

otherwise, 31 X 10.50 BGF AT's.....BTW, Sweet find and glad to see another piggie in good hands!

:D ...

Nick, I have a set of near perfect condition red cloth seats that you can have for the cost of the ride.....I figure its the least I can do.

Congrats!!

Dan

Also, 32 inch swampers fit nicely....

I don't know yet. I still think it is just clogged with rust. When I get it home this afternoon I am going to take the carb off and mail it to Marks Off Road or Jim, to get cleaned and tuned.

Nice man -

Good job. Way to persevere...

Tell me about it.

But needless to say when this one had some carb issues on the test drive I was more then a little gun shy.

I appreceate the offer but I think I am going to keep the ones that are in there since I will be switching out to buckets before too long.
