I finally get the shop I have wanted for too long

Thanks for the tip sir! Installed mine today. Definitely pushes the door against the frame well, and it seems to be quieter operating overall. The quieter bit might be a placebo effect though, time will tell..

If they work well over the next few weeks, I'll get a set for the other door.

Thanks again! Hijack over.

You’re welcome sir. Happy to help.

Easy install except for the 3rd screw from the top on the first hinge for the bottom panel. One thing escapes me: is there supposed to be and spring tension when installing them or are they just kind of neutral?
My new hinges versus stock hinges….not much difference beyond the spring

The “third” screw is supposed to be the first one installed, according to the the instructions. It is more tedious than the others, that’s for sure. As I tighten the screws down I could detect the tension increasing.

Thank you Michael, one VERY bad habit I have is not fully reading the directions when something just seems like a simple swap. I did get the numbering correct….but did not notice any spring tension….

I’ll go back and double check

I’m was a busy day in the shop. Three oils changes, a set of rotors/pads and a CV axle. Nothing picture worthy 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is it warmer there? Currently 6*, windy …around 40 mph gusts. I can’t take the dogs out without looking like a Mt. Everest expedition member. I. Have not seen the inside of my shop since last Sunday .. 7 days now.

It’s beginning to warm. Today was 43* with a stiff north wind. Tomorrow might get to 60*. Tuesday is supposed to toy with 70* 🤷🏻‍♂️

I upgraded my 20+ year old HF $30.00 welding helmet this week. I should have done this much sooner! It’s a Hobart Inventor series.

I also found a good spot for my Direct Oil globe. I have had this since high school. I worked at this station my senior year (no they were not in use, I’m not that old).

Love those old pump globes. I have a reproduction Cities Service globe in my office; my first job out of college was with them.

While I was working in the shop this afternoon, trying to get cab roof in final primer, it rained a little. The pictures below were taken around noon. Some areas had over 8” by 2:30 this afternoon. And it’s still raining. Rain is forecast for every day this week. When my son returned home about 5:30, he had 2 detours to get through around our neighborhood.

The far end of the muddy water is over 3’ deep. My neighbor has low spot 🤷🏻‍♂️

That's a lot of rain Michael. We got some in Auburn but nothing like North Alabama got.
It is Greg. Some areas received 10+” yesterday. Today is supposed to be rinse and repeat (literally) but has only sprinkled thus far 🤷🏻‍♂️🤞🏻
