Anyone have a picture of the CCFLs or how they hook up?

Does anyone know what this is for? I so far have not found a use for it and everything is working fine.

Few week later and they are AWESOME :)

I want to add a foreground limiter on them. They have a little light scatter above, not enough to be annoying but I know it's there. Will be doing research on this and probably adding one soon.

well I got my new ballasts from TRS and put them in. I tried without the harness and it doesn't work... so I need to put it back in. The dang bolt that came with the 3five ballasts stripped realllllly easy. I'm going to have to cut it and buy some better hardware. I did get the bi-xenon riggged up and it works great!

Its supposed to be a 9005-9006 adapter I believe! It comes with the pigtails!

Looks like you found the biggest flaw with the 3five ballast:flipoff2:

For those wondering where to mount the ballast, heres a pic! Also, I got my angel eyes wired up:popcorn:

First things first, slanted projector was solved! Good thing I had the rubber washer! Just take a huge set of pliers and twist the projector

Add-a-fuse using the heated seats circuit to wire the angel eyes

Angel eyes=new DRL

Requested by 2000UZJ lol I think I want to do angel eyes on the outer ones as well...

Nice! Don't go overboard. That looks great. Keep it simple yet effective. Not that angel eyes are effective but you get the point

Good idea! I'll just keep it like this! I have 4 inverters wired up already so if ever I want to add two more CCFL's it wont be a PITA

I have ditched the HELLA's thanks to this setup!

My 100 looks like a transformer now!

Why did you use the heated seats?

I used the heated seat because with the quad-xenon retro and using two TRS harness I have essentially lost the stock DRL/hi beam circuit...that circuit is just there...might use it for fog lights though

Since I need the angel eyes to be on as DRL, the heated seat and the 15A fuse which is always on with the ignition seemed like a good spot. Plus, if you hook it up with the DRL(168 bulb) then the inverters will flash whenever you lock the truck...that is bad lol

What I am wanting to do is the not use my normal DRLs but the CCFLs. I am just trying to figure out how to accomplish this. Most likely through some sort of relay.

Since it is on all the time, just hook it up to the seat heater with an add-a fuse

Are you talking about the DRL 168 bulb? or the half hi beam circuit?

The half hi beam circuit. I need to find out how to just make it do Hi beam and not DRL.

Just saw these IRL. LJ parked next to me at the Costco in San Jose. Looks great and convinced me to order a set of the full size Gatling shrouds for my Depo quad retro... If I ever get back to Seattle that is, my order is sitting @ UPS waiting for me

I thought about just doing a parking-lot-swap there at Costco (would have been waay easier) but figured that might be kind of rude...

Won't this meant that the CCFLs will always be on when the vehicle is on? I was thinking that they would work just the same as the current DRLs. Is there any benefit to either one?

The parking lot swap would have been a good one! lol but yes, very rude! Also, what are you doing in San Jose?
