BIG thanks to all here with great info/tips/photos regarding the fuel filter.
I recently ordered a fuel filter (PENTIUS PFB55354) for a 2000 Lexus LX470 to replace original (23300-50110) with 130K miles. Unfortunately I've encountered several issues about this specific filter that prompts me to warn others:
1) Filter arrived with curved the metal outlet looking a little haggard at the end of the tube. Had to use a drill to "clean-out" the inside buggered end, and then a file to smooth to accept the factory rubber hose. My guess is Seller cut off the ribbed end with a hacksaw to correct and didn't deburr accordingly.
2) The metal outlet tube itself is shorter than the factory original (see my photo comparing both black original to the zinc plated Pentius). When you reinstall the factory green clip to secure the rubber fuel line, the reduced tube length results in a questionable connection.
3) The white plastic C clip that is reused and attaches to the metal bracket is not able to be installed in the same factory position. Design is to have the C facing up; this is the best for support of the outlet fuel hose. With the Pentius filter, the bracket only allows that C clip to face downward.
I won't consider the Pentius brand for my LX470 (same as Land Cruiser) a second time.

Just picked up a new OEM fuel filter and green clip for $39.19 delivered through Bell Lexus in Scottsdale. They always have great prices and if you email them on expensive items, they'll go even lower.

Just did mine as a part of the continuing base lining.....looks like it may have been done at some point, but I didn't know if or when. Came out with ease, went in with ease, and recorded the date and miles on the filter.

Just completed with OEM. Thanks to the tips on this thread, went pretty easy. The 2 10MM bolts were a bit rusty and the lower one is fun to get to around the dipstick. Used a 19mm and a 14mm flare wrench. Cleaned the threads a bit. Upon re-install, I couldn't figure out a way to get a big enough torque wrench, using a flare socket fitting, onto the flare nut - the head of the torque wrench was in the way of the flare socket. I used my smaller torque wrench, which has a smaller head, but only goes to 26nm so I clicked and then went farther just by feel. Came up with an extension but given the shape, it had to impact the torque and kept slipping off So, short of the SST, what did folks come up with for torqueing the flare nut?

I think the 23300P* is the filter itself and the 91621-60620(2)* is the 10mm bolt that connects the filter's bracket to the frame of the truck. I am trying to hunt down the 14mm bolt that joins with the 19mm fuel filter itself. Thanks guys.

14mm nut, is not a separate part. It is part of the fuel filter.

I wish that was the case! But I just replaced my fuel filter with a original Toyota/Lexus one from LexusPartsNow and there was no 14mm included. The 19mm one is connected to the filter, but the 14mm one is threaded and free floating on the hard fuel line. The old one is holding fine, but in my attempt to replace it, I fear the nut is rounded and wanted to keep an extra one around in case something were to go wrong.

Interesting. Do you have a picture?
How much "out the door" did Lexuspartsnow charge you? I find their shipping costs to be on the high side.

Sorry I meant "19mm" nut on filter. The 14mm is called a flare nut. We do not replace that unless damaged. In over 100 filter R&R, I've yet to replace one.

Toyota sell it as part of the hard line, its on.

You can also buy a 14mm flare nut. Install using a metric flaring tool kit (part store rents them). But make sure you only cut off the flare, by push back the nut. You do not want to short the hard line, any more than needed.

I think it's the middle line. Part# is 7725160800. Tube, Fuel Main. Out the door from Bell Lexus it's $78.40, Lexus Parts Now is $115.88.

This is very helpful! I see the nut that follows the line from the (1) in the circle, and goes to the filter. That is the one I am looking for! It would seem that the part number doesn't work for the 06 LX model year, and I am not having any luck with finding the entire tube under the same title of "Tube, Fuel Main.", but I am going to keep looking. Hoping I can find just the nut itself, as the whole tube is more expensive and I don't have any need for the actual fuel line, but thank y'all for helping me narrow down the search. Hopefully I can find something soon.
