Hitch assemblies?

Not finding any install it yourself hitch assemblies (Reese, Curt or Drawtite)- are there any or is that a build it yourself then install?

For a novice welder, i would call this for off highway use only but I built this myself. Primarily for a hitch mounted bike rack and off road tow point. Just an idea for you. There may be fabricated bumpers out there for 55s with hitches built in also.

I took mine off and gave it to another member for his pig. So, at least once upon a time, they were commercially available.

Google tells me that there's plenty of weld-on hitch assemblies of different shapes and sizes, are you looking for something specifically made for your 55? What bumper do you want to put a hitch on?

There may be fabricated bumpers out there for 55s with hitches built in also.

It's back! The classic rear bumper for the Iron Pig, with a few updates. The new version complements the body lines a little more fully.

You will need to notch the rear crossmember for the receiver hitch.
Includes light cut-outs designed for the Baja Designs S2 Flush Mount reverse kit, or similar.
The bumper is not rated for towing.

Specifications:

• 1/4” steel shell
• 3/8” frame mount
• 3/4” recovery points
• Powder coating available

We will have this up on our store soon!

Lead time is currently set at 12 weeks, we have some things to take care of this summer, but we wanted...

Something that probably needs to be answered is what do you intend to use it for? Actual towing which may pose its own issues depending on weight.

I’d see most set ups primarily for bikes or cargo.

Looking for one to bolt to frame like I did on my truck, I want to keep the chrome I have

Not wanting a bumper pull set up, looking to bolt to frame, around spare like I did on my truck- yours turned out really nice but I’m wanting to have it below the bumper
