looks good but not good enough to drill holes.

made some good progress on the truck this weekend - particularly the ac system. i’m using the old dealer optioned briefcase unit which i got mounted up under the dash. i had convinced myself it wasn’t going to work because it gets so close to the accelerator pedal but i think i have it figured out.

as you can see i also decided to paint the door cards white. i think this is probably the right choice unless i decide to upholster some with the same materials as the seat.

the ac lines are almost done but i ran out of #6 hose and still lack a couple of fittings. i’m trying to minimize penetrations through the inner fender as my hose bulkhead is just above the cab mount. not totally sold on my drier bracket but it shares existing studs in the firewall with the heater box. also, this is the same drier i used for my fj60 project!

took it out to hitchiti. rides nice but needs narrower tires because it flings up too much gravel and i’m tired of painting stuff!

my ac parts didn’t come in this weekend so i had to pivot. i got the tow bar and bumper painted up despite the touch and go weather.

bumper came out a lot more blue than i’d hoped but it’ll fade!

you can see we have the fuel tank down on the obs… i will smell like diesel fuel for the remainder of this week. brother wanted to get rid of the less than reliable dual tank setup and swap to the single 38gal f26e tank.

i also finally got the dome light working! i had gotten the wire stuck in the a pillar but was finally able to fish it out.

and finally, i installed the new instrument panel lens i ordered a while back.
