there's also this wheel which is an OE ford SD wheel with the right offset and brake clearance... it's close to the MT 8-hole wheels that were cool in the 70s/80s. i dont know if the look would feel uncanny valley or not but i bet i could find some locally for relatively inexpensive.

detroit doesn’t seem to offer them in as high of an offset as i’d want. i’ve browsed wheelsmith and i don’t see where they have anything in 17” diameter in 8x170 but admittedly haven’t read the entire site

so i don't think the USwheel option will clear brakes even if i downgrade to '99 calipers and rotors. i reached out to diamond racing wheels (they make wheels for dirt track stuff and people put them on civics when i was in highschool). they actually have a wheel that isn't bad:

for reference, the king ranch wheels on the truck currently are 18x8 +44. tires are 33x12.50.

diamond can make these in a 17x8 with a backspace of 5.75" which is around a +32mm offset. if i paired this with the correct tire (255 section width) it would actually be a little narrower than stock:

only thing is that 255/85r17 is a really weird tire size and i think mickey is the only manufacturer. i could go down to 255/80 and the options open up a ton.

Correct, I just saw you had posted the 255/85 size and that’s almost a 35” tall tire.

You can call either and they will make whatever backspace you want. Here are the Detroit's on out last years SEMA BOTB 1974 F250 with SD axles.

20 x 8 with 40 offset 8 x 170 pattern.

the longer i look at it the less they bug me. they're great for now because they're free! the tire width is a bit too much for me personally.

need y'all's help with something - would cab lights add to or subtract from the look of the truck? on summit's website trying to figure out what else to order to get free shipping lol. this picture makes me less mad about the wheel and tire combo.

Would I drill into a clean cab for them NO it adds a bunch of holes where rust can start.
