Front mount as well. Can get a little bent in the rocks. I have turned it over since this picture for a little more "clearance".

I think I will be trying the passenger side runing board now though. I'm sure the jacks have a limit to the number of times they will bend.

I have mine mounted on the front bull-bar, only time I bent it was when I got too close to somebody else's long load at a traffic light. One of these threads suggested bringing something to lube the jack when you need it - I just use water, it seems to provide enough lube and there is no residue to make a gummy mess of mud and dust.

I saw a mount kit on cruiseroutfitters site just today
I was interested in one of these a year ago, but after several emails, I was told they were moving and would be retooling. But following up on your tip, it seems all they are making is units for heeps.

I liked Fast Eddies idea.

I have a Kaymar Mount. I wanted the passenger's side mount, but ended up with the driver's side. They don't sell them in the US (I picked mine up in Australia when I was there for work). That being said they do ship them, so you can go that route if you would like. Seems pretty solid, I've had it on there since November without issues.

Well, here is the second red neck hack post for me today! Made this mount out of 2 pieces of angle iron butt welded in a "Z" type fashion, mounts to existing windshield holes. Drilled a hole in running board and ran a short bolt up from the bottom for the jack base. Simple and strong.

There used to be FJmount.com, looks they went to jeeps only. Sad.

look like the kaymar mount (irish11 post #30) could be mounted to the passenger side (upside down) if bolt to the lower part of the hinge , plus it keep the possibility to drop the windshield

Unfortunately it has a slight cant to it to match the slope of the windshield. Because of this it cannot be used upside down. I wish they would have made it to mount below the hinge not above. But honestly I am not going to be driving around with my windshield down so its a non-issue for me. I tried that when I first bought the 40 and it was a bug filled experience I don't need to replicate, haha.

I don't see how they could make that mistake. WTF?

Wheeling with the windshield down is great, but we've been keeping the top on the last couple years, and it attaches there.
