The shop (in West Houston) said it's the intake and some electrical "things" the shop is having problem for the swap. I'll go to the shop when I can and take some pictures. Thanks to you all for the kind reply.

Missing what internal parts - did it run before it went to the body shop and when they got done with it? A used engine with no history is near worthless. Labor to install a crap engine is money down the toilet. A F or 2F will fit in the same place. Bell housing for a 3 speed is different that the 4 speed, both will fit F or 2F as far as I know.

You need to find a better shop IMHO.

BTW I got a bridge for sale, low traffic count and never overloaded!

See if there is landcruiser club near you. Post your city and see if anyone recommends a local shop.

You can do that at home. You don't need a shop to get an old F engine running.
'Mud is much, much better at helping you get it running than telling you were to take it to get it running. We can tell you, step by step, how to do it. We've done it many times before.
The 60 series tech has a whole thread about Landcruiser shops in your area. 40 tech does not.
If all you want to do is sell it, don't do an engine swap. It'll cost many thousands to have a shop do it, you'll never recover that cost.
Nice looking 40, pics of the engine, since that seems to be the problem, would be helpful.

Exactly. There are many proficient people on this forum, a few of whom have replied here. Our motto for the most part is to try and be a hand up, instead of a hand out. We enjoy vetting analyitical data against one another in a friendly competitiveness that usually leads to the newb fixing their problem themselves.

When you just ask for a referral, you’re actually depriving some pretty knowledgeable people from being able to look at your situation and perhaps increase their knowledge base.
