DD, I'm sure the valves are set at the engine plant in a cold engine, setting compensated for warmup. Any valve setting I've ever seen was for cold, which makes more sense to me; warm is variable, cold is repeatable. Plus which would you rather work on, cold or hot?

Adjusting valves never hurt, and if its just a carb adjustment, hurrah!
Rick Arflin says parts will be there by 9 - plugs, air filter, fuel filter and pcv valve.
