One of the things in my bucket list is to see how I can get my LX450 ready for Hell’s Revenge. Just saw this Instagram video of a complete stock 80 successfully completing the Hells revenge climb. I’m wondering if anyone here has tried it with their 80. If you have… hope you don’t mind sharing videos if you have any. I was of the opinion that the power to weight ratio is not that good for it to make it on that trail. Perhaps I was completely off my rocker. The video is just mind blowing for me.

A stock no lockers 80 can do hells revenge. Optional harder spots will require lockers and good tires. Having offroad driving experience is the most important part. Not a good idea for a novice offroad driver at all.

No problem with a stocker. I accidentally drove right up Tip Over Challenge without knowing it was a named obstacle until I was at the top and asked someone where it was! I'd also recommend signing up for a trail ride with some other rigs if you're still a bit unfamiliar or unsure of what your rig can do. Hell's Gate can be done without even lifting a tire if you know the right line (check out Land Cruiser Phil's video on YouTube for the right line).

Or you can make it more interesting. In 2012 I let Mike Stevens @mls57jax drive my 91 up Hells Gate and he got slightly off the line.
I'm the guy in the white shirt wondering how I'm going drive 2200 miles home with no glass in the truck.

Moab has lots of easy trails that stock vehicles can run. I think the first trail I ran was fins and things, no lockers, no armor, no issues.

Slightly off-line😂🤣

Hells Gate is all about the driver !!
A stock 80 with the right driver will walk right up it.

That looked like a piece a cheesecake.

HIGHLY recommend you register for Cruise Moab this year. You would thoroughly enjoy it, and see MANY 80 Series on Hells Revenge.
Just read all about it. Will sign up for the one in April
