Thanks @whitey45 for your generosity! I am continuously blown away by this group.

It seems I don’t have the contact seat itself still. Does anyone have any advice on a path forward other than trying to locate one?

That’s awesome! I sort of wish the 66s also had the vent in the windshield. No idea if the one in the cowl is any better or worse though. Did yours come with the passenger side mirror on the a-frame?

Not sure what to do with this jewel of a modification yet. PO cut a big L shaped hole in the tunnel cover for the PTO shifter. (Thought I had a picture.) Suggestions welcome. Take the PTO off, get a cover plate and weld up the hole? Leave it all there and try to find a boot that covers it?

Made a little progress today (furlough day). Got the steering column mostly sorted out.

Had to cut/grind/hammer off the monstrosity of a collar a PO welded on in place of the turn signal collar. I blended the column smooth and put a little paint on it before attaching the signal collar.

Was able to feed a wire up the column from the exit hole and pull the new (to me) horn wire down the column and install the rubber/metal horn base per @tahoe40/45 advice.

Still need to finish getting the dash bracket and horn/steering wheel figured out still.

On the subject of the horn, I’ll likely need some help from the experts on what I have, what I need (other than the horn seat) and where it all goes as I’m not at all sure what was jacked with on this thing.

Also, a big thanks to @whitey45 for the steering wheel pins! Got those in without issue.

Looks like your horn spacer might be toast, #4 grommet on right, the one on the left might work. I think SOR has aftermarket replacement or you could make one or find one used on mud. The washer (#2) ID might be a little big, maybe find the correct washer or one with a smaller ID.

Big washer with tooth looks like a front wheel bearing tab washer, put that in your spare parts pile.

You have everything else. Once you find a horn seat just stack them up like in the picture. Just make sure the horn seat and horn contact are separated enough with horn spacer or you will have horn on all the time.

More carnage. Hard to see in this crappy pic, but this is the outlet on the water pump. Looks to be very corroded. Time will tell.

I sold off my extra thermostat for the early F engine. May be able to find the reproduction from @andybudge

To be honest, I don’t know. It was obviously modified around one of the bolt holes and the bolts weren’t matching or original.

Any suggestions for cleaning all that crap out of the coolant system? A bunch of CLR and water?

Upon further inspection and investigation it seems @Goforth is correct and I do indeed have the wrong upper thermostat housing.

Should I try to find a new/used upper housing or is it possible to replace both upper and lower with a later version?

On a related note, it seems that the water pump will be pretty rough as well. I’m dreading cracking that open now.

Both versions should work, the only big difference will be height of upper housing and the top hose to radiator.

Get a new water pump or yours rebuilt once you get the cooling system cleaned. Not worth hoping old water pump will work correctly.

Thanks Tahoe. Any recommendations on how to clean the cooling system out effectively? I know a good standard radiator flush will help but that was some pretty solid nasty stuff.

Not sure of anything that would break up any of that build up. Maybe CLR? I have never had that much build up in my experience.
I would try to clean as much as you can, then put it together, (once you get, new to you parts), so you can hook up a garden hose flushing set up to flush it and see if the cooling system flows end to end. hopefully the water jackets in engine are clear.
