Hey everyone

I'm wondering if you all could post some pictures showing what (if any) alternatives you've come up with for the inside "ceiling" of your piggies? I have a headliner I may install (albeit used and somewhat crusty), but I'd like to see what else you've come up with.

Thanks!

Calvin

Calvin,

I never liked the headliner in the 55, so I sprayed Lizard Skin products on the roof for sound deadener and heat reduction. After the Lizard Skin I sprayed Monstaliner, a bed liner product that was color tinted to match Cygnus White. I added a few support bars and various switches, lights, etc.

Thanks guys,

It's very quite inside, but I have that same treatment on all the metal, floor, doors, fenders and hood. I might have shot myself in the foot though, I can actually hear my wife talking as we drive cross country! :)

EDIT...I should have said on the INSIDE of the doors and fenders.

Cruisercorps.com has headliners on sale right now for $152. Either black fabrics or the offwhite vinyl. I bought the vinyl but am not to the point of installing mine yet. I need to buy rear cargo window rubber first.

I found a place online called WLS headliners. It's 64" wide and $17.50 per yard. Three yards shuold be plenty, which would be under $60. Long way from being to that point, but seems reasonably priced.

My wife has a couple of sewing machines. She used to do the interiors on VW's her ex worked on.

Nothing too crazy, just added an extra dome light in the back. It had a broken switch so I slaved it to the front.

Is this the cruisercorps headliner? Any one have pics of theirs installed?

I think that came from SOR, and my 40 headliner came from Cruiser Corps.

Wherever you get a headliner, make sure you take it out and lay it flat for several days before trying to work with it!
