I've got a 2010 and Brad's resistors worked fine for me.

Yeah those are what I have for my 20 Base.Brad is sending me new ones! Great company (person) I never had a center dash warning message, just the little red dash light. Mine is a 2010, so far I haven't heard of anyone using them on the 10-13 model? the air bag seat sensor is not supposed to be different from the 14+ but who knows? Hopefully the new ones will work fine! Here is an image of my sensor incase someone with the 14+ thinks they are different?

Yes actually I had considered that Tinkerer knob but I didn't really like the Velcro stuff, and it was too "knurled" for my liking if that makes sense. Can't decide if I like that shifter knob or not. I did change out the knob on my previous FJ, but haven't seen anything that hits me yet. Tinkerer has one

Very "industrial" looking, and looks good for that style. For me, it's not really my style, but it is really good looking! I've been thinking of designing one myself and 3D printing it.I have a base GX, and the shift knob is the most welfare feeling contraption ever. Plastic and... maybe like a harder vinyl? I don't know. It looks stupid and feels awful in the hand.
Kind of on a whim I bought the 2020-2023 GX knob from Teton Workshop, which is basically a big ol' chunk of aluminum with some color-changeable scales on each side. I got mine black / black. $89 shipped direct from Teton Workshop, after a discount.
It's pretty nice. I had a friend who would refer to (non anatomical) things that felt good and made you want to touch them as "chewy", and this thing is chewy as hell. Has a good bit of weight to it, so manual shifting in S mode feels more solid and positive than with the weightless plastic OEM knob. The OEM boot also clips into this knob and is much more secure latching than it was on the OEM knob.
I'm not a bling kind of guy but I'm digging this thing. Wish I had a manual T case so I could buy another one!

I also got in the parts I needed to get my awning mounted up on the GX. I have had a 6.5' ARB awning for a while, on a few different vehicles. I only mount it up for trips.
I used the ARB angle brackets (which IMO are about the best brackets you can buy for hanging an awning and they are cheap, like $15 each) mounted upside down with a spacer on top of a set of Inno square bars, mounted to Inno towers and tower clips, on the OEM roof rails. Awning clears the opened doors by about 2".
I don't intend to run anything else on the roof but the bars give me the option to do so if I want, and clip on and off pretty fast for moving kayaks and stuff when the awning isn't attached to the bars.
I prefer the passenger side mount even though the hatch door opens that direction., but it's not super inconvenient to just walk around.

Plus, carabiner (and red flag to remind me it is there) to shut off the beeping when the rear hatch window is open!

Put a flag on it or use a colored one because the first time with the black flagless carabiner I slammed the window on it.... Them black ones are hard to see!Very "industrial" looking, and looks good for that style. For me, it's not really my style, but it is really good looking! Love your idea about the carabiner in the rear hatch as a reminder. When we haul our longboards (surfboards), I just trip it with my Leatherman and have to remember to push the button when we're ready to close it again.
Heck, going to do that right now! I have a bunch of miscellaneous carabiners lying around.
yep. my 21 does it all the time. i was thinking about how annoying it was while reading the new shift knob post a few above yours, and sure enough someone commented. glad / sad to see it's not just mine was busted before i bought the truck.Anyone have any issue with the 20+ knob unclick itself from the lower leather attachment constantly?
Have you taken it to the dealer?yep. my 21 does it all the time. i was thinking about how annoying it was while reading the new shift knob post a few above yours, and sure enough someone commented. glad / sad to see it's not just mine was busted before i bought the truck.
I haven't. I bought it used from a Toyota dealer and I don't think this is part of the remaining factory warranty (both Lexus or the soft one my dealer gave me). Next time I go in i'll try to remember to ask them to take a look.Have you taken it to the dealer?
i would double check the first in service date to see if you have the 4 yr bumper to bumper.I haven't. Given 3 of us responded that it happens, I wonder if there's some TSB or something out there on it... doubt it due to being cosmetic, but never know.
