So lets discuss this.

I say if we can find something very close we should source it before we have something made.

But what we need is a list compiled of what we need.

I would be more than happy to measure my 75 but by the time I get home it's dark. I may just do it anyway.

Let's get a list together of specs. We need the sheetmetal hole diameter, the diameter of the grommet and inside diameter.

I'm pretty sure these guys have what we need if not SOR.

Steele Rubber Products Online Catalog

SOR part #184-90B fits a hole 45mm (approx 1 3/4") in diameter and has a 13mm (approx. 1/2") diameter hole for the wiring as well as being slit so you can pass it over the wiring bundle.

Well, that was easy. I hope the rest of our projects go just as well. :)

Thanks Charles.

Thanks Charles.

Glad to be of service!! :)

Unfortunately I don't remember the source for the e-brake bellows or the gas pedal bellows but I think it was crawling through junkyards picking ones that appeared close.

I have e-mailed Steele rubber products to see if they would be willing to help. They have thousands of parts and I'm sure if they saw exactly what we were looking for they would have something that would work.

Fire wall boot I bought this back in 2003 for my pig, since I have done very little work on my pig except to collect parts, I figure on going to work on It this next year.

I took out of the package to test fit on my 66 fj40 Its fits perfect, I later discovered that It was the same part, I found that a slave cylinder boot makes a good stand in thats is what I am using for now.

I would like to offer this unused original to the PPG group as use for some one to use the boot to make a mold as Is not only fits pigs It was used on early FJ40 1964-1971 on the transfer case linkage rods.

I think this would make an excellent repo part more than one vehicle use

I will show my friend this pix and try to get an idea if what he thinks production would cost
he owns an injection system and could scan the original

Has anyone tried to re-run that number to see if it still works? That's ALOT easier than making them!

Yes, I called Toyota Friday :frown:

Has this dealer always tried hard or is it one of those dealers who looks, see's it's for an older vehicle and then assumes (often wrongly) that it is no longer available?

My brain hurts because I measured it all in metric and then converted it to fractions.

I recieved three catalogs today that I think will cover everything we need. Including the bellows. However I'm going out of town and won't be back until this weekend.

there are two other gromets that we should consider: one is for the fuel fill neck where it penetrates the inner fender; and the other is where the wiring harness penetrates the PS inner fender (powering the rear window and license plate lights). These two openings are the main sources of water getting into the rear quarters.
