Grease for Seat Gear Assembly

Just got a set of Gamiviti's plastic gears for the front seats. What type of grease should I use for the gears when reassembling??

I have gone through the installation procedures and @nakman 's thread on replacing them, but does anyone have any additional tips?? It seems pretty straight forward.

I used white lithium grease on mine when I redid them 8 years ago. No problems.

I'd get a toothpaste type tube of white lithium, or since we need EP / moly fortified grease for doing the front axle service, then that.

Really any grease is better than none at all, and either white lithium or dielectric will answer future questions when you have kkoky issues -- or moly grease in tubs or tubes when you get to the front axle refresh -- (tubes of Valvoline Synth-power is what I buy to hit the zerks in the gun or to split open to use tub-style since local Autozone only carries tubes come front axle work).

You can get away with :

Toothpaste tube of white lithium or dielectric
Tubes & a greasegun of moly fortified grease

Between those formats you can get everything a older 80 will need to keep alive from a grease standpoint. Maybe not the most economical per OZ of grease, but you'll be 'loaded for bear' no matter your situation.

I used Napa Syl Glyde silicone grease.
Works fine and is not petroleum based so it won't break down the plastics over time & doesn't stink.

I like Green Grease, for me its a clear winner when it comes with tackiness and less effected by the heat.

I keep a tube of that too, great for the window motor cable runs & rubber casing the window slides in.

But you & me both have a 'few' days here & I kinda expect you have a 'grease gun rack' like me w/ 3+ guns, etc.

For the entry level people I just recommend the white lithium in squeeze tube & a grease-gun w/ the EP / moly grease as the catchall for getting into DIY Cruiser maint work.
