Sad to hear for sure. It was very obvious that you had put your heart and soul into your rig. I feel for your loss...BUT... and this is very easy to say but sometimes hard to live with...it’s a vehicle, it can be replaced. The memories can not be replaced, but you will always have those.

Sounds like we are talking about humans...we are not...but many of us understand how you feel and what you wrote.👍🎯🇺🇸

This is sad for sure. I remember emailing back and forth with Wyoming roughly 9 years ago when I was in Iraq and building on each other's experiences and visions for our rigs. You caught the bug, you'll build another.

Should have kept it and stored the parts for the next truck, or for someone else. The motor is work 3-4k alone.

Yeah I agree the the engine was worth a few dollars and not the pennies I was offered. It wasn't worth s*** according to the insurance company :bang:. In the end I did learn a valuable lesson that will be carried onto the next build because I am definitely not leaving the MUD community. Hagerty insurance will be the company I choose to cover the next vehicle. My buddy at work restores Chevelles and uses them to cover the cars when he is done. They actually come out and inspect the vehicle. Give you a total value of everything that you do to the vehicle and insure it at that amount.

That just means it's time for a 40 project.

Lol honestly I was heavily pondering about just getting a 40 tub and extending the back to fit the 60 frame. The hardest part about 60s is body parts are getting harder to come by. Even when I contacted SOR about a tub they said it would be $3500 for decent tub because even they are having a hard time finding them.

I got both my complete bodies and one as a complete roller for 3500 each. Both are in pretty good shape. Find a 40 with a rotted-out back half and make it into a 45. Stuff that on a 60 frame. That's what I'm planning on doing with my second tub.

^^^ this is a no BS, solid plan. It will surely get some attention, but dude, go for it.

@Manitou Decline, did the insurance company give you any info about where Goss is heading? Or could you find out?

That sucks man. I feel for you. I've been there before.

I fought with insurance, bought it back, parted it out. In retrospect, I should have kept it and built a 40. Quite a few of the parts are running around mud.

Definitely keep all receipts but regular insurance usually only goes half value at most on addons and mods. You need a stated value policy or special policy.

Damn that picture hurts. Always love seeing a nice looking pig. Yeah I will be using Hagerty for insurance on the next one or I know some insurance companies offer policies just for the the additional accessories.

Does Hagerty cover a 4x4 that rolls on a trail, or would the accident need to be reported differently?
That I don't know for sure.

Cough cough. Must be the COVID.
