Man I had no clue you was so talented with a welder:grinpimp:

pssss I need some front spring perches done;p

if you can put it on paper i can make it. I am starting a new project in Maryland so I will be alot closer.

I just got finished with the front u bolt flip kit and add-a-leaf. It now sits some what level again. actually the rear is still a inch higher but thats good cause i have alot of stuff to go in the back end. but here are some pics of the u bolt kit from LCWIZARD. He makes an awsome kit. Also the add-a-leaf in the front. Yeah count them there are 8 leafs in there now. Not sure yet on how its going to ride yet. I am still waiting on a flywheel from the dealer to finish the h55f install.

after the weekend at Disney OK, the tranny cross member took a beating and took a few chunks out of it. so i plated it with 3/16 flat bar. It should be plenty of protection.

Well i just found out that toyota no longer stocks new flywheels. Had to make a call to cruiser parts to get one overnighted to me.

Ouch, but somehow I'm not surprised. That crossmember reinforcement looks good though!

what's invovled with installing the u-bolt flip kit, other than swapping bolt on parts? Does it alter the height or change anything? Other than the obvious reason you use one of these things..

This is long.

Well flywheel actually was new just been in a box for probably 25 years. I took it to O'rileys to have them turn it. I had them turn my rotors and the other fly wheel they did good both times but of course the old flywheel had some bad burn marks. well as i dropped it off i said just clean the rust off of it. "No Problem give us a hour" So i went back to the apt to try and finish welding on the skid plates and esrsa1 was going to stop and pick up the flywheel on his way here because we were going to install the h55f. well about a hour he called me and said they wern't done and it looked kinda funny. then about 45min later he called and said uh dude i think they just trashed your flywheel. he picked it up and told them we will be back. well as soon he got here i started checking searching the board for specs on thickness and what not. well when he got here i went down to look at it and i could not believe my eyes. the guy shaved it completely flat and no step. Brian said the guy took .40 off. wtf this was brand new. so i knew it needed at least a .20 step in it.
we drive back down there and the guy said well thats how i was told to do it. i said well its not correct for a step flywheel. he didn't know what i was talking about so luckly i brought my old burnt flywheel in. showed him the step. so he went back and put a step in it. i told him to put .22 so it would give a little more grip. he brought it back out and i compaired to the other one and i didn't think it was .22 but he insisted on it. well brian lives down the street and we picked up a feeler guage and it wasn't even close,. pull back in and say thats not enough. he said i didn't really think it was. so he took some more off of it. came back and it was actaully good this time. I stated running around at 4:30ish and by the time we got back with the flywheel it was 8pm. we finished the h55f and took it for a drive at 11:44pm and everything is good.

Pictures will follow tomorrow.

its just swaping bolts and plates. it doesn't give you any height change at all.

Well, down the stretch now...last night I got some stuff done....

New spring hanger pins on the back
New Poly bushings for them
loosened, reseated, tightened rear u-bolts
tightened front ubolts
removed skid plate
topped off tranny and TC with Lucas 80-90
installed line between tranny and tc (just in case)
reinstalled skid plate
lifted front end & checked for any hub/spindle slop
retorqued knuckle studs
greased all zerks

only things left are brakepads/shoes
pan gasket (I messed the first attempt up pretty bad)
and e-brake accuator cables inside rear drums

Then I should be good to go.

Drove the 60 around tonite some and the h55f is nice. crusing down the interstate at 65-70 in the low 2k rpms. But today I finished the skid plates and almost got the rear swing out done. I just have to brace the bumper a little more where the hindge is and she is ready for paint. I also picked up my spare today.
