Tell me how much, and I will send you a check. We are working on floor pans and fender patched the rest of the week, so now is a good time for the mounts. I will put up some photos later today.

I've been unable to locate them in a cursory search this morning, but I do have and will get out tomorrow.

They were part of a convoluted deal in which I lost my ever-loving ass, so if you know what you were going to pay, we can work off whatever that amount was and figure it out.

Work has been unrelenting, amongst other issues that are taking me away from my real job in Cruiserville and I've yet to get the gate prepped in the crate to ship, but I'm making it a goal for Saturday.

Going to post a Mudship request to see if Cruiser karma may reciprocate and keep the cost down, otherwise will send LTL with whatever terminal is closest to you.

Will get out today.

I hope you received the intentionally delayed, second email, exclaiming the first was a joke.

I never heard back, so to clarify, I was joking about wanting three times original price, since NLA.

HAHA, i got it, and tried to respond from a deer stand yesterday, but it would not send. Thanks for your help. I will pay you fair price. No problem. I will be getting to your hinges next week. I, too, have been overwhelmed with work the past two weeks.

On a different note, the pig work continues to move forward. I got the floor mounts, and the body mounts in from bobm. They are great quality. I wish the entire pig had been made this well.

Today, we are trying to fit the fenders and put in the fender patches. WHAT A PAIN! An iron pig was put together evidently very crudely from the factory. After 40 years of neglect, abuse, bending, rusting, and crashing, the fit is even more pronounced. We are working through it though.

And more pics

I would highly recomment that you put on the fenders prior to welding in the patches....espcially if you have replaced the rocker panels. So far, the pig is highly resistant to being assembled, and is just plain ornery. Nothing wants to match up. Wear gloves and use your back...I am thinking about welding it up permanently when it is finally back together so that I will never shift again!

Tomorrow, we are going for installation of the floor pans. This will change the appearance of the pig. We have swept dirt up around this thing every day since May. Once the floor was out, there is nowhere dirt can be except the inside of the frame! It feels good to see it get to this point. I am so ready to take it to the finish line!

I'm looking at your pictures and I'm just amazed at how much effort goes into taking on a project like that. You get through the body work and there will be no stopping you!

Keep it going.

It has been an enormous undertaking to say the least, but I think it will be worth it when I am finished. The only problem areas that I see are the matching up of the body lines on the fenders and doors. Apparently, we wedged the rockers in a little too tight. I am not sure how they could have gone in any lower, but there is really very little shim room on he fenders to adjust. I looked at my early photos and the lines were not that good to start, so I am just going to go with it. The pig has had an abusive, corrosive, and neglected history, so expecting everything to line up perfectly without doing major body adjustments is insane. The fenders should be finished tomorrow. We have cut the patches to fit the rockers, and they should look great when we get them all bolted in. Tomorrow, we may get to blowing in the Raptor on the bed and roof. The color I chose is not supposed to be that different from scrap daddy's. I will probably end up doing all of my new floor pans too.

Looking back, I wish that I had the patience to let it sit and tackle things over a longer time frame. I just have a problem with things being apart for long periods of time. I will feel better when my shop floor is picked up and I have the pig back together.

I turn my head two shakes and I get bumped to the second page! I guess the forum is getting more activity these days.

Progress is slow but steady. The floor pans are in now, and now I am working on reinforcing them. I am thinking about running 1/2" angle iron across the bottom under the front seat.

Fenders have been patched and only need filler to finish and be ready to mount.

I think today, we will work on installing body mounts and doing the fender work. I am ready to get the front clip installed!

Still working on engine assembly....waiting on bolts still from the powder coater.

next on the list is getting the doors mounted and fitted.

also, my garage behind my office is starting to give me back room as parts get mounted on the pig. I have been missing this space.

Mid, looking good Great job. That was fast. How did all fit.

Thanks Bob.:)

Body mounts came in and are going on pig today. Thanks a bunch! I have been mulling how to manufacture these.....

The sheet metal all fit pretty gopd. The bolt hole was off 1/4" on PS floorpan, which is not a problem. The rear was so rotten in the deep corners that we had to add a fair amount of sheet metal to fill in the gaps, but, all in all everything fit very well. I added a center strip over the seam from front to rear about 2" wide to provide more stiffness on the pans. The fender patches worked great. We should be body filling them later today and see how they shape up.

We will be undercoating soon, to finish the floor, and then permanently mounting the front clip....I cant wait to see how it all looks back together!

Dust cover for the brake booster came in today. $37 delivered to the door, and it fits perfect, made by Aisin.

The body mounts are all installed except for the core support. That will come early next week. For bolts I used two 7/16" x 6" (which could be 1/2" shorter), and the rest are 7/16" x 5", all grade eight with grade eight flat washers and grade 5 nylock nuts. I am not sure what the torgue is supposed to be for these mounts, but I do know that you don't want to get them too tight. The nylock is there to keep it from getting loose. Overall, we had a good day.

Next week we are going to install the brake booster and master cylinder and the clutch master cylinder and tie them into the steel lines. We also may go ahead and blow the ceiling and floor with Raptor. I will also be putting the doors on next week. It is go time!

Midgainc,

Did you have any trouble with the body mount holes and the bushings with the lips on them. Some of mine had to be reworked, so they mated right.

It's all looking good.

Have you thought about coating the floor with something like Zero Rust, etc., before spraying the raptor. It might help stop any rust from growing, down the road.

The body bushings fit nicely into the holes with no problems. The rear 4 are a real pain due to inaccessibility, but overall, the bushings can be switched out in about 2 hours.

I will definitely look into coating the floor pans with something that will protect from rust! I do not want to ever do this again to this pig!

Man, I spent all day playing with the bushings. Half of mine didn't fit in the different holes, with the lip, so I had to rework them. All good now.

You're moving right along.

I have been thinking about tires, using the OEM steelies, and these tires on stock suspension...
http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/33...aspx?t_c=13&t_s=156&t_pt=100697&t_pn=BFG08012

I plan to do mild mudding in this rig, and no rock crawling, and no mud bogging. I don't plan on installing a winch, so that should tell you what I will be doing.

Any ideas? My other option is to purchase 16" Tacoma steelies, and use 16" tires. I am thinking about it his now even though I am 2-3 months away from needing them. I just want to have it ready when the time comes.

Perfect combo....

KM2s are a dang good, all around tire.

Have ran for +60k on the FJC and they're still in good shape, they don't chunk in the rocks, and are decent on road.

Not that it matters on a Pig, but they are louder than an AT or other MTs, but all the bad I can think to say about.
