I would bet they did not. If they broke, there would be a significant amount of noise coming from the third as the spiders are welded to the carrier and to each other.
Hopefully I can tear it apart soon and get it taken care of.

Bald mountain. East of Shaver. The only trail in the area that is open year round.

Sweet, my sister in law has a place up at Courtright, we try to get up there every year in the summer time. It is so beautiful up there! Didn't know any trails were open year round.

Yeah, just the 1. Last weekend there wasn't a ton of snow and I don't know if this storm produced much (snow level wasn't supposed to get too low.) The trail is pretty tame in the summer (fun stuff if you know where to look(all legal and considered "on trail")) but it has some challenging hill climbs in the winter depending on the snow condition.

Got my CB mounted finally. The wife was bummed that we couldn't hear the trail chatter on our snow run so I made that a priority. My rig had a plugged hole in the roof when I got it and I had a Wilson 1000 from another truck so my intention all along was to do a roof mount antenna.
Got the wiring done in no time (added an additional fuse panel I had laying around too). Then it came time to run the coax.
Needless to say, after many failed attempts finding a passage down the A or B pillar with my fish tape, I was really considering doing a front bumper mount. Then I changed my mind back because I still haven't bent up bumpers and I wanted this done today.
Got a little info from D'ANIMAL. He's had a 62 carcass laying around without a headliner and off the top of his head he told me what he remembered about where I could run the wire.
Long story short, I got back after it and was able to fish the coax through the A pillar and back to the pre-existing hole. The Base is in and the radio is all mounted and wired up.
This was the only spot I could make my radio fit but I'm happy with it. I didn't want to run a small radio that would fit in the dash, mainly because I had this one and another Galaxy laying around already.
It's a Cherokee Nightrider I've had for a few years. It's been Tweaked and Peaked to 18 watts. Always been a good radio and tends to get out alright for my cheap trail setup.
I'll try to get a pic of the antenna tomorrow in the daylight.

Heres my fuse panel. Got it for a buggy project so it's a full 12 pin panel.
Now I just need to figure out what to put in the other 11 locations...............
By the time I got home it was dark so these are the best I could do for the antenna.
It's not centered due to the reinforcing ribs that run the length of the roof but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Well I reeeeeeeeeeeeally hate to say it but today I must have a snack. A snack of a certain black bird.
I finally had time to take the rear cover off. Before I did I jacked up the pass side and the tire didn't spin with the tranny in gear. I figured I was wrong and it was the driver side shaft or side gear that was messed up.
Jacked that side up and .................................same thing. 
I pulled the drain plug and saw this.
Drained the fluid and tore the rear cover off.
Bit closer. Somethings missing.
Ahhhh, there it is. Ummmmm chewy.
I had never welded a Cruiser diff and was a bit timid around the edges of the side gears as I didn't want to kill the bearings. I went a bit light on my heat and definitely not enough welded surface.
Next time I have some time, I'll get the third all cleaned up REALLY good and tack it as it sits. I'll pull it from the housing and weld it up REALLY good on my work bench.
I'm a bit bummed about this to say the least but nothing to do except fix it and keep wheeling.

Forgive me if this has been covered, by why not just yank those chewed up spider gears and put in an aussie? Are the axle splines okay?

So far everything else looks to be good. I'll find out when I tear it down completely in a few days. I do have a spare 60 rear that I can use for replacement parts if needed.
This axle is temporary to keep me wheeling. I don't want to throw any more money than necessary at it to keep it going. Welding it up will have cost me a few bucks in wire (with an obvious amount of wasted wire ) versus buying a locker.
I am hoping to get started on my beefed up rear end in the next month or 2 so I really just need this to last me through the snow wheeling season.

Just pull out the spider gears and clean them and weld up a few of the valleys. That should hold up real well and you can use plenty of heat.
I am not so sure, I had a buddy with a welded centre and it kept breaking till I welded the side and spider gears together then got some 5/8 bar to go as filler between the gear teeth and welded that to the gears.
looked like a right mess, but it held up
