Found a real nice expensive 92 in VT for sale

I take back what I said. This vehicle is worse than your average West Coast 300K frame, and that motor is a calcified, salt crazed nightmare.

No thanks, not when I can toss a rock & find plenty 3fe's / FJ80's that aged better in all but the seats up here in WA.

I smell an odometer swap / fraud - that or NH/VT experimented with using sulfuric acid in the salt. And why the seats are recovered.

This stinks to high hell.

I wouldn't give $1000 for it.

I'll say right now, I don't know jack about salt corrosion rates because we simply don't have it here. So if the locals believe the story, great. It's still worse than the local FJ80's & I wouldn't pay anything for it.

Salt will rust a vehicle very, very quickly. I missed those frame pics the first time around. The exhaust looks like two pot holes from falling off. There is definitely rust on that frame, so I don't understand why the seller claims "absolutely no rust" then shows a pic of rust.

Maybe it didn't have a Vermont winter, but it had a winter somewhere.

22k for a 3fe? No. 3fe 80s are only worth 2 or 3k. I know some people ask more but they are dreaming. With that little mileage maybe 5k.

:worms: Man, can o' worms.

The 3FE is the 'apocalypse mobile' motor - and it will about run on piss, let alone varnished gas.

So personally while the 1FZ gives up more power, the last thing I'd do is dis the 3FE.

But this isn't worth jack unless that seller can document his claim, and I doubt he can. More likely it's a 1 owner he cluster swapped. He's letting the new buyer commit the fraud. Smart on his part.

I wish somebody would just buy this and LS swap, Lift, and Throw some big Meats on it!

In my opinion the 3fe is similar to most motors Toyota had of that timeperiod -simple, very very reliable, but unimpressive output. It's a good motor, but not worth near 22k.

Well then something's fishy. That metal looks way more rusty then it should.
Here is a pic of one under my 20 year old FZJ hood located in the northeast.

This is straight up crack pipe status in my book. It's in good shape, but not THAT good of shape. No lockers to boot.

I'll keep my poverty spec 94, thankyouverymuch.
