I'll buy it

I could use a right side ambulance door with the all the license plate light assembly, a pair of wiper motors for a 1960's vintage windshield frame, a good 4 core radiator, 2-front license plate holders, and maybe some other stuff I can't think of right now. Paul

Sweet truck for the $$$, was hoping to find a SLC'er in need of a built 40. Glad to hear it sold to a good home... :D

If I had the money I would have bought it...in 10 years my 73 will get there

Thanks Eric for your help......I will give it great consideration to reduce the price.

85 BJ60 FS in Colorado

1985 BJ60 FS in Colorado:
I am cleaning out the collection and I have no use for this one anymore. It has been my DD for the last year. Runs and Drives great. Drive it home cross country if you want. It is legally titled in the US.
3B diesel
H55F 5 speed
rebuilt injectors
new glow plugs
rebuilt front brakes
new injection pump diaphragm

This 60 is originally from Toronto, so it is nice and rusty. Motor has 480K kilometers so it is a little less than 300K miles. The body is pretty much shot except for the front fenders and hood. Interior is in pretty good shape. Ideally it would be used as a diesel conversion into another Cruiser. It would be a great conversion for a 40.

Asking $3,600 US or make offer

WTB 40, Hopefully in TX, Under 8k

Here goes:

I got lucky and unlucky last time so lets see if lightning strikes twice. About a year ago I posted up here looking for a 40. A few weeks later a beuatiful 78 with everything, and I mean everything that I wanted comes across my doorstep about 30 miles away in North Houston (Thanks to this Board). Had just enough time to make a few minor mods and BOOM, s***canned at the office  .

Had to unload it and have been kicking myself ever since. Well been on the new gig for some time now, saved some scratch and ready to jump back in. Lets hope lightning strikes twice.

Looking for a 40, ideally 78 or newer. That being said, I am also kind of indifferent as to original 1/2F or SBC, as long as it runs reliably with no major issues. I am not keen/capable of doing body work but minor rust in usual spots wont be a non-starter. Also, any kind of lift would be a definite plus, SOA or regular is cool with me too. Color is of no consequence (but I like the mustard).

I would love to be able to check it out locally so anything near Houston/Austin would rock. Not really looking to ship but obviously will make exceptions for the dream cruzr.

Bottom line is I want a cool looking (does not have to be hard core, I may wheel it once a year on some tame trails), mechanically sound and reliable, weekend cruzr. Would love to be able to find something in my price range now, the better the cruzr, the more willing I am to hit my 8k Max. I will continue to stash some cash and I realize it may be a long search and my budget will increase accordingly.

Just thought I'd throw it out there, you never know. Any advice/tips on how to line this out is much appreciated.
