you have a PM... i'm in knoxville...

you won't have much luck here without more pictures, especially of the rusted areas, underneath, frame...
also, what's the mileage on the drivetrain? engine seems shot, but maybe not.
800 could be a really fair price, but one needs to know more about it.

My bad, I have a few post up so forgot about the details. The frame rust and rust underneath is NOT rot. I asked the seller this before I even bid and he told me he took hammer along the frame to check it out. As for the engine, it has 192k and without testing I will not say yes or no to the engine being dead. I am sure you understand. Also, it's a 22re 5spd all power, etc etc. Also, willing to work with the price, just do NOT have the space left for this with recent changes.

selling good fj 60 in so cal

I got this truck from a friends dad, who has had it since new, and always taken care of it. It is an 86 fj 60 with 162K miles, cold AC, NO rust, no dents, pretty clean rig. I did a compression test and a vacuum test, all is well with the motor, passes smog, has new cat converter, all new hoses under the hood. Truck is basically all stock, NEVER been wheeled. Runs well. There is NO dents on the skid plates underneath the truck. 4WD works fine. It has the 4spd stick. Color is original light tan with the orange and brown stripes on the sides. Paint is very good. It has been the older gentlemans grocery getter for 18 years. I just dont have the time or funds to see this thing to fruition.(lift, tires, locker etc). Sorry I dont have pics, wouldnt know how to post em if I did. I am asking $3200,will trade for good quadrunner, aluminum fishing boat, or newer MX bike, can go cash up or down, truck is in Palm Springs area, call my cellular at 760 485 5307 for more info,or email at seemomrule@aol.com thanks, john

Actually, if you want to use a Toyota diesel, look for an HJ60 or a BJ60 with a 5 speed. At least you'll start with a tranny with the right input shaft. BTW they are also quite rare in the US. Now if you lived in Canada, that's a different story.

Your in a good position being in Bozeman. Take a ride north, you shouldn't have to much trouble finding an HJ or BJ60. Good luck.

I am not having any luck with pics, so any so cal folks who are interested, please call, and I will give you honest answers to any questions. This is not a beater 60. I will also add that i would be willing to trade for a nice enclosed motorcycle trailer, or utility trailer plus cash. This truck is worth a looks, thanks, John
