Please start your own "for sale" thread, you will get more interest, and you won't be stepping on someone elses toes, by posting your rig in their thread.Coldwater said:I'm located in Maine. Quite far so not sure if you are still interested. I'll give you some info now and email me at jwpeters2@hotmail.com if you are interested and i'll send you more.
151k, metallic gray, tan leather, moonroof, 31" bfg atko, no factory rails, factory lockers, 3rd row seats, its in really good shape for a 95 I think, the engine looks brand new. Email me if you want pics.
Well, if you had seen the original truck you would know that there wasn't much to hack if that was the truck that originally came from John's Cruiser Parts in Grants Pass.djoeyd114 said:The fact that someone pulled a hack job like that is sad...
Thats my new daily driver. I thought someone may have seen it before because it is pretty strange. I'm calling it an FJ42.5 It's got the front end of a 76 FJ40 spliced with the cab and rear frame of an FJ45. The custom bed holds a 100 gallon LPG tank and a limited slip rear end. Who ever did it, did a great a great job. It takes a discerning eye to notice those details. I plan to put running boards back on and paint the top of the cab.
The top is all steel, so the top and back of the cab are original 45. The drive train is from the 76 so it has front disks and a 4 speed. Its still has the 2F motor and it really purrs on the LPG.
My best guess is that someone came across a 45 with a wrecked front end. The front of the frame is from the 40 and is spliced to the 45 frame under the doors. Looks like everything lines up perfect.
The drive train is tighter than my last 2 40s and the tires show nice even wear. The interior is clean with plastic RCI seats. Might look for something a little more comfy, but fine for now. One interesting thing about the inside are the cutting brakes. Its also got LED tail lights and signals.
