Where in KC? I take it Johnson County? I can offer to maybe go look at it if someone is interested. Sorry never seen ya out on the trails with it that I can remember.

Hey Thanks. You got it. South OP- but I prefer to call it Stilwell ;)

The reason you haven't seen me out much is because I don't make it out much :crybaby: Which is why I'm selling. I've had it out to Randolph a few times and it does great. I just can't justify storing it anymore. I have limited garage space and the county won't let me build a new/bigger shop...Long story.

So, Susan or Alan, what is the cost for the basic ute-back conversion on a Cruiser...say an 80 series, no custom bumpers or lift, just chop, creat rear bed, put tire in tailgate and reinforce as necessary...paint etc?

1976 Toyota FJ40 for sale in NY 9,000 obo

You can email me at brian_ellebracht@yahoo.com
I can send pics and more info, I have before after and durring pics.

I have a 1976 fj40 for sale. I bought it out west and had it shipped to Michigan about 4 mo ago. (where I used to live) it spent most of its time in the body shop. This is a 100 percent steel body, no aluminum or fiberglass. It has new OEM front fenders, brandnew Toyota windshield, new weather stripping, all new emblems, new turnsignals new front and rear bumpers, amost all screws and bolts on the body (not frame) have been replaced. its 100% rust free, with little to no bondo. It has a chevy 350 with a 4 speed. Brand new clutch, and everything that goes with it (about 2000 miles) I actually drove this all the way from Michigan here, so it can go on the highway. Alot of the steering has been replaced ore rebuilt recently, but still has a bit of slack. I also have a con ferr rack at home. and 4 new KC lights not installed. It has newer tires, about 2500 miles. I had to replace the transfercase when I first bought it. I replaced it with a used one with about 53,000 miles on it. The 4wd does work well. I also replaced the rear fender flares, and quite a few odds and ends. I also had a lot of electrical work done. odometer works, shows about 79,000 miles. Probably some more good stuff, just can't think about it right now. the best thing is that it has NO RUST on body or frame.

The not so good stuff:

It could use some new front seat covers, the rear jump seats are in excelent shape
Could use some new wheels, the ones it has are pretty old and don't do the car justice
Paint is not perfect. There are some defects, nothing major, but its not show quality. The good thing, is that everything was take apart and painted inside and out except for the fire wall. If you need anything else please let me know. I was going to try and fix up the interior, but My wife said I have reached the end of my budget. lol. Hate to see it go but I really need the $. Will take best offer around 10,000. THanks,
Brian

1970 fj40 in Norcal- 7500.00 firm

It is wth heavy heart that I post my nearly completed fj40 build for sale.
Truck is in Santa Cruz CA, $7500.00 obo for Ih8mudders 831-359-0909

pics tonight

What it is:
1970 fj40 **i have all receipts**
Body taken off, cleaned, undercoated, herculined, and painted
frame cleaned and por-d
Stock F with 2F electronic ignition- rebuilt 23,000 miles ago
Carb rebuilt by Mark's Off Road 1,000 miles ago.
Sm420 transmission
rebuilt 3 speed case
driveshafts lengthened and balanced
New water pump, fan clutch, brake and clutch masters
Spring over axle
Front mini discs (new hardware) and brake booster, new brake lines
Saginaw power steering
35 inch Baja Claws 75-85% tread
New Bilstein 5150 shocks
Nissan 200zx bucket seats

By Faultline Fabrication:
Custom Family cage
shackle reversal
Front bumper

Man-a-fre spare tire and cooler carrier
Soft top, Bikini top, hard top- fiberglass cap needs paint.

THE LOW DOWN: This truck runs very well and is very clean. I was building it as a restored trail truck. As such the truck looks good (not show quality) but is ready to hit the trails. The truck did sit at a fabrication shop for some time and was exposed to the elements but everything looks fine. However, it does need some important work done. The Sm420 transmission is grinding and I think may need a rebuild sometime in the near future. The steering geometry should be fine tuned (ie truck pulls to right/ slight bump steer-ideally use flatter pitman arm) Also, the drivers seat frame was never made (pm me for details) and the seat now sits on a temporary frame made of gas tube so I could move the truck. I will include a new radiator and a new windshield with purchase of truck. Other than that just about everything is new and upgraded. I am not trying to make a killing here, just trying to pass on my beloved 40 to someone who can give it what it deserves.

Thank you,
David

Price drop on Locked 94 in TX $10,500

Price drop not reflected in earlier post heading...1994 LC with 123k miles, all records up to 2003 from original owner who had the car dealer serviced. Green w/ grey leather, paint and interior are excellent, I have not seen a 94 in better shape. Running boards, AC works very well. Manik brush guard up front, michelins with well over 6- percent tread left. I bought this car on the spot as I know the diff locks are hard to find. I am not really an off roader, so will possibly consider a trade for a lower mile 80, or something interesting. Please call me at (512) 748-5677 if interested. email for pics...

Thanks,
John
