They do. Didn't fix my CEL. YMMV

Did you have an actual working rear O2?

It seems their setup uses the existing O2 signal and modifies it to read as if there was a functioning cat, unlike others that disable the O2 sensor completely and just add a preset signal :hmm:

Then there's this one from Magnumtuning that appears to use a 555 timer chip (which is what I used to build these things back in the day), but it also has a POT to adjust the signal.

Yes, I had the the entire exhaust replaced and used aftermarket cats and O2 sensors. I don't need to pass emissions until next June, so I have some time to figure it out but still annoying especially given the amount of time and $ I have in parts and labor.

That might be the issue right there :hmm:

I've never really had much luck with aftermarket O2's
It's one of the few parts I always try to replace with OEM in both my own vehicles and my customers' :meh:

On a side note, anyone know if there are mini cats available for our bolt on style O2 sensors?

Hindsight is 20/20. I understood the use of the sim to be to fool the ECU into ignoring the code. It was never stated I needed specific 02 sensors. I'll eventually swap in OEM sensors and see if that cures the problem. Live and learn...

I hate that apparently people are having a hard time getting in touch with lilevo. I installed his rear o2 sensor simulator over a year ago and have had zero issues. In fact, it actually saved my bacon a few times as i was on a long cross country trip and developed a huge exhaust leak before, between and after the cats. Because of the simulator i didn't get a check engine light or have the computer adjust timing and fuel because of the leak.

I copied the $3.20 fix on YouTube! Bought a resistor and one other electrical thing I can't remember the name of.... Voila; no more P420!!!

I'm so doing this mod. Is this the one?

Been running catless for a year, no o2 code, just the p0401 that im too lazy to diagnose. did you notice a difference in throttle response and a little more pep in the higher rpm range?

Yep

Gutted the secondary cat first and it made a huge difference cause it had melted pretty bad.

A week later, the Y-Pipe seals started leaking, so I took it down again and noticed the primary cat was a bit filthy.

Not wanting to ever deal with the Y-Pipe again for fear of snapping the studs, I figured it was just best to gut that failing cat too and either replace the secondary cat alone or just install a sim.

Once both were gutted, I felt a bit more pep all around :)

Been waiting to throw a code ever since :meh:

yea i stopped thinking about it a long time ago and then stumbled across my scanner last week and hooked it up just to see and all good :) wont hear me complain.

I ran catless for a short while just to see what I'd notice. One thing for sure, the exhaust smell is so rich that it bothered my nose. Normally, this ain't a big deal but when you're being spotted over obstacles and moving very slowly, the cloud of rich exhaust is rather uncomfortable. After the installation of a spun wound deal from Magnaflow (summit), the smell is gone. But, the hi flow cat is too hi flow for the second O2 sensor so I'm getting the P420 code as well.

Ali, i am running the same spun cat from Magnaflow, except i'm running a single. The rich exhaust smell is still there but not terribly bad. I also was getting the P420 code. I first tried to move the sensor up and out of the flow by using gaskets as spacers, but that didn't work. That's when I finally installed lilevo's o2 simulator and that fixed all my problems. I hear people are having a hard time getting in touch with him so i don't know what to say about that.

Fuel trims have nothing to do with o2 #2. It is basically useless and only serves to tell the ecu how much air flow is going through the cat to determine if the cat could have failed.

Do you still have this item for sale?

Thanks
Gman

knock on wood I'm still running the 02 simulator I got from lilevo with no codes. Really hope I didn't just jinx myself
