Funny how you can make a list and knock a bunch of stuff out and then find a bunch more that you forgot about to tack on to the list. These little brake line mounts were one of those little forgotten details - funny story.
I found one that I’d saved. The other was MIA. I had a faded memory of tossing a mount or hose or both into the trash can several weeks back when mocking the old brake lines up to see how everything laid out. I thought on a chance I’d check my little scrap metal box and see if it was there. Well, there was a similar looking mount there, but the stamping is different - older looking, but stamped the opposite direction of the other, like it COULD work on the other side, but it just looks different.
So I dig back through my pics to see if I can find a pic with the mounts still on the axle. Sure enough, it’s the one, and they’re both different.
Anyways, modified them to mount behind the shock mounts, inboard of the steering stops.

I have those same two mounts on my welding bench, I’m waiting until I assemble more of the knuckles before welding on...but your placement looks fine I’m sure.

Holy s#**! On the $99k pig?! Didn’t get that far in the pics😄

Yeah, wow, looks...uh.... rushed. That passenger side especially could easily get snagged and broke. Everything else doesn’t look too bad. LS swap with the passenger side exhaust routed in front of the oil pan sump. SOA. Long spline d-shaft yoke.

Would’ve liked to see those suspension u-bolts zinc/cad plated...

Something else that came up and decided to do while I’m here...
I’d like to retain the original 55 rear sway bar instead of the 60 bar. I built some mounts to weld to the rear housing. Only problem at the moment is that I made the mistake of selling my old sway bar a couple years back, thinking that I had a spare, which didn’t exist.
There’s some differences in the axle housing dimensions that end up putting the passenger side mount close to the drop-out diff. If I knew I could spread it out a little, I would.
Does anyone have a sway bar they can get a pic for me? I need to see again how the arms attach to the main bar.
